owl_man Ballot for 2019 Week 5

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 22, 2019, 7:40 a.m.

Rank Team Reason
Clemson Tigers Looked human against Syracuse, then came back and took out their anger on Charlotte. Should sweep through their schedule. But are they really out of the playoff race even if they lose?
Georgia Bulldogs Just beat Notre Dame in the biggest game of the year so far. Can they keep it up against Florida's weird magic?
Oklahoma Sooners Can anyone in the Big 12 or college football stop their offense?
Alabama Crimson Tide Yes, they dropped. But who are they playing that's tough this year besides Auburn and LSU?
Ohio State Buckeyes Hate it, fear it, run from it, Ohio State is going to win at least ten games. It's basically a given at this point.
LSU Tigers Jeaux Bureaux might best the best LSU quarterback since, well, ever?
Wisconsin Badgers Jonathan Taylor is the real deal. If there is any justice he's the Heisman front-runner.
Auburn Tigers Malzahn was on the hot seat to start the year. I figured that means a big season from Auburn. Here's to hoping I wasn't wrong.
Texas Longhorns Is Texas back? Yeah, I'm thinking they might be.
Florida Gators Another week, another win. Reminds me of 2014 Florida State, "you can't just keep getting away with it!!" Let's see what happens when they play Auburn in two weeks though....
Penn State Nittany Lions I like bye weeks. Rest up, because Maryland is decent again and y'all don't look great yet. Also, the struggle against Pitt is real!
Notre Dame Fighting Irish A tough close loss against Georgia likely keeps them out of the playoffs. But hey, a New Years Six Bowl is still highly likely.
Iowa Hawkeyes Like Florida, wait until they play Michigan to see if they're on Wisconsin's level or well...Michigan's level.
Oregon Ducks Best team in the PAC-12? Seems like it so far. That loss to Auburn is looking better each week.
Boise State Broncos In the driver's seat for an at-large bid. Is this the return of Boise State to a major bowl?
Utah Utes You were the chosen one! Supposed to bring balance to the playoffs!
Virginia Cavaliers Well, at least they beat Old Dominion. That's more than Virginia Tech can say.
California Golden Bears So, you're the new hope for the PAC-12 to make the playoffs? Should be interesting.
Wake Forest Demon Deacons The slimmest of chances to win their division. But should make it interesting for second place.
Michigan Wolverines I say they keep Jim Harbaugh. But Josh Gattis is way in over his head.
UCF Knights Lost a close one to Pitt. But, they're still a great team. Eleven wins and an outside shot at a New Years Six Bowl is still on the table.
Army West Point Well, they should run the table. Is that enough to put them on the same level as Boise State and UCF this year? I think so.
Washington Huskies Like Oregon their one loss doesn't look too bad. I just don't know with this team though. Are they good? Bad? Tune in next week for a maybe?
SMU Mustangs Undefeated, I want to believe. Pony Expre$$!? CJK5H!
USC Trojans Well, they're not as bad as prior years. But, they're not great as prior years. Clay Helton might just be the worst thing a USC coach can be: boring and average.
