Overall Rationale: I tried to put a reason for each team, but I missed some of the teams.  Top 3 all have a big win so far this year, with Clemson and Oklahoma's both coming on the road.  I'm giving Clemson a slight edge over Oklahoma, but I could see it going the other way as well.  I am probably reaching on Oklahoma State more than I should, but they have been dominate in all three of their games so far this year, so I thought I should recognize that. I didn't move Miami or Florida State either way.

Do I really need to give a reason? |

Played really well against Louisville.  I put them at number 2 after the first week of games, and this is the first time I have felt confident about them being number 2. |

Ohio State win still carrying them, but getting the job done as well. |
4 |

Every single game so far this year has been a blowout.  Would love to see them shake up the playoff this year. |
5 |

Still looking very good.  Big game for them this week. |
6 |

Two really good weeks makes you forgot about how badly they came out of the gate against Rutgers. |
7 |
![]() |
Took 2 overtime periods to beat Texas.  I can't justify leaving them in the top 5 after that. |

Every game that Florida wins, their win over Florida looks that much better. |

I want to take a lot away from a win against BYU, but I don't think this is the same BYU team that we are used to seeing.  Still waiting to see how they play against a good team. |
10 |

Still a really good team despite last weeks loss. |

Favorite to win SEC East. Who would have thought they would be playing a ranked Mississippi State team in week 4. |

So at this point are the Hurricanes' beating themselves?  |
13 |
![]() |
They are still one of the best teams this year and I'm not going to ignore that just because a hurricane has kept from two of their games being played. |
14 |

Keeping within striking distance in the ACC.   |
15 |

Really want to see them win the PAC 12.  Mike Leach vs the world. |

Still undefeated.  Looking better each week. |

I feel like this is only going to be a temporary ranking.  But their big win will get them ranked over Louisville or Kansas State. |
23 |

Huge P5 win.  Could easily get the G5 spot in the NY6. |
24 |
![]() |
Didn't want to rank them because their "big win" is against Texas, but  maybe Texas is better than we thought. |
25 |
![]() |
This loss hurts, but they are still a top 25 team. |
