wazoheat Ballot for 2016 Week 3

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 12, 2016, 2:50 p.m.

Overall Rationale: This ain't gonna be perfect. Lots of ambiguity and +/- 10 spots of uncertainty. Plus I've only watched like 4 games so far this season.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide Another year, another season to have no reason not to put Alabama at #1. These are truly the darkest days. Unless Texas is the one to unseat them.
Florida State Seminoles Next week's matchup is going to go a long way to determining how the ACC plays out this year.
Louisville Cardinals Louisville is #1 in points scored in the nation right now. Obviously this trend will continue next week.
Ohio State Buckeyes Looked pretty meh in the first half but took care of business in the latter half.
Houston Cougars A win over a preseason playoff favorite and a smashing of a cupcake opponent gives Houston one of the best resumes out there.
Wisconsin Badgers Why do I have so many Big 10 teams at the top? Because alphabetically they're one of the first conferences.
Texas Longhorns Because I want to see you guys overrated.
Michigan Wolverines I don't necessarily think they're a top 10 team, but there are only like 3 clear top-10 teams right now. I'm just happy they aren't playing FCS teams to pad their schedule.
Iowa Hawkeyes Another "why not" top 10 team. No glaring flaws to be seen yet. Though it'll be more than a few weeks before they get a real test from the looks of it.
Washington Huskies It'll be interesting to see if these guys live up to the hype
Florida Gators Too high? Probably. But can't overlook a team that's only allowed two scores in two weeks.
Baylor Bears I wanted so badly for them to look bad on Saturday, but they didn't. Aside from a few pretty silly issues (seriously, that fumble was hilarious), they cruised through SMU.
Texas A&M Aggies Teams from Texas: so hot right now. I'd probably rank them higher but I'm wary of the homer in me.
Stanford Cardinal Not a lot of offense in their first matchup; not totally buying them yet.
Nebraska Cornhuskers If you're wondering how I did these rankings, I just took the pool of still undefeated teams and worked from there. I tried not to look at the AP rankings, but I am fully aware that lots of these deviate greatly from the wise ranks of AP voters. This early in the season I know pretty much as much as they do.
Colorado Buffaloes Let's be real here: if it were almost any other team with two blowout wins to open the season, they'd definitely be ranked by now.
Miami Hurricanes Toss them in the bucket of "probably somewhere between 15 and 45th best team"
Utah Utes I'm getting the Ute Hype Train started early this year!
Arkansas Razorbacks Yes, I am keeping in mind the possibility that TCU was just overrated.
Clemson Tigers Even this is probably too high.
Georgia Southern Eagles Southern-not-state now has two non-negligible wins. After all, USA beat an SEC team, and Savannah barely put up a fight. Here's hoping the hype train is still going when they head to Ole Miss.
Central Michigan Chippewas Shouldn't've happened, but did happen.
Tennessee Volunteers It came down to either ranking these guys or Georgia, and I'll be damned if any team who plays that poorly against an FCS team. Neither one seems all that impressive yet though.
Pittsburgh Panthers Schedule only gets harder from here.
USF Bulls Let's just toss one last two-blowout team on here for good measure.
