Overall Rationale: I rank teams based on what they have done so far.  The quality of opponents, however, is evaluated based on my thoughts on that team, which includes previous season results.  In week 2, I am beginning to rapidly pivot towards emphasizing this years results in opponent evaluation.  For example, Utah is ranked quite highly, off the virtue of BYU's win over Arizona.
