| Mynameisdiehard | 24 | I have been perpetually low with Ole Miss, going so far to not rank them since the loss to LSU. I bring them back this week, but the loss to Kentucky, second to last in the SEC, is holding them back. In my eyes, Ole Miss has to beat Georgia to have a prayer in turning this season around. I won't count a 2 loss SEC team out of the playoff just yet, but 3 for sure is not deserving of it this year. They better hope they don't overlook a resurging Arkansas this week first though. |

A game @Arkansas is followed by hosting Georgia, and that game is Ole Miss's last hope at a CFP run. The LSU loss got a little worse, but it's the Kentucky loss that has become a really heavy anchor on their resume. I considered Memphis, Arkansas, Texas Tech, Nebraska, Duke, Vanderbilt, Syracuse, Iowa, Tulane, Louisiana, and a few others, but none of them were quite good enough. |
