70stang 10 TIER 3 - 5-1 Teams with 3 P5 Wins Nebraska tops this tier at 5-1 with 3 P5 wins including two ranked wins against Rutgers and Colorado (both made the poll last week!), 1 G5 win, 1 FCS win, and a home loss to Illinois. They take the top spot in this tier due to having two ranked wins. It is worth noting here, that there ARE 4-1 teams with 3 P5 wins. Notre Dame is an example. The win loss percentage being the first thing my poll looks at (83.3% win rate for a 5-1 team vs 80% for a 4-1 team) is what keeps those teams out of this tier. This will normalize as the season progresses, but the 5-1 teams have a higher winning percentage with more games played, which is objectively a better resume in my algorithm.

big_thunder_man 17 5-1. That Rutgers game was........ pain. Nebraska games used to be painful viewing then a loss. Now it's painful viewing, and a loss. They're not favored vs Indiana or Ohio State. Temporary peak in their rankings.
Dan20698 17
Milflover69cbb 17 I honestly think Nebraska could be a playoff team this season with how many schools are struggling, but I also believe they’re a year or two away

TheBeekman8 22 Played a tight game against Rutgers who I had previously ranked
throwaway_6786 22 Nice win over Rutgers to add to their Colorado win. It wasn't easy to move the ball in the swirling winds of Lincoln, but the Huskers got it done all the same. They'll have a bye week to prepare before facing the Hoosiers, another unexpectedly undefeated B1G team. After that, their trip to Columbus to face the Buckeyes.

Mynameisdiehard 24 Nebraska is back in my back. Objectively comparing the 1 loss teams, and OT 1 score loss to who I have ranked #15 is a very respectable "quality" loss and better than any other 1 loss team not already listed. Bye week this week will most likely lead to a ranked matchup with Indiana where they can re-solidify their contention in the Big Ten.
