Roscoe_Filburn Ballot for 2025 Week 11

Ballot Type: Hybrid

Submitted: Nov. 2, 2025, 3:37 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Modified-SRS assisted human poll

Rank Team Reason
Ohio State Buckeyes For a minute there in the 2nd quarter, it looked like Penn State might do the funniest thing ever.
Indiana Hoosiers
Texas A&M Aggies The quest for 8-4 continues.
Texas Tech Red Raiders The Arizona State loss was bad, but Texas Tech continues to put up multi-TD wins most weeks. The impressive 34-10 win against Utah stands out as one of the best performances of the year.
BYU Cougars
Notre Dame Fighting Irish BC win was ugly but they got the job done. Narrow losses to A&M and Miami still seem impressive, and they have been dominant elsewhere.
Utah Utes Only losses are to #4 and #5 in my poll. Looked really good in a blowout against Cincinnati last week.
Alabama Crimson Tide The Florida State loss still hangs over them, but they've managed to dispose of the rest of their competition very efficiently.
Oregon Ducks
Miami Hurricanes Two close losses to teams they should've beat hurts them. But their early season wins against ND, USF, and Florida are still impressive enough to keep them in the top 10.
Georgia Bulldogs
Ole Miss Rebels
USC Trojans Losses are to Notre Dame and an Illinois team that is better than people think. Impressive win over Michigan and did well holding off a pesky Nebraska last week.
Oklahoma Sooners
Texas Longhorns We might be too quick to judge Texas. They beat a tough Vandy team last week, crushed Oklahoma in the RRS, and played Ohio State tougher than anyone else has this year. The A&M game will be interesting.
Vanderbilt Commodores Kept it close against Texas on the road. As a result, they don't drop that far.
Iowa Hawkeyes I continue to think they are neat.
Louisville Cardinals
Washington Huskies They are better than people think.
Pittsburgh Panthers The WVU loss was bad, but Pitt's quietly putting a decent season together. Only other loss was by 3 to Louisville, and they've clocked multi-score wins over Syracuse, NC State, and Stanford over the past 3 weeks. Missing a marquee win, but they've got Georgia Tech and Miami to close out the regular season.
Illinois Fighting Illini Hear me out. Their losses, while they are bad losses, are against 1, 2, and 19 in my poll. They beat USC, 13 in my poll, and the 45-19 win over Duke early in the season still strikes me as very impressive.
Missouri Tigers
Michigan Wolverines Michigan's inability to get any separation from the bottom 2 teams in the B1G the last two weeks means they are ranked lower than they were two weeks ago despite winning both.
Tennessee Volunteers Sometimes a team loses, but in such away that tells me they were ranked pretty much exactly what they should have been the week before.
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Last week, my computer poll told me that they were frauds, but I ranked them high anyway. This week, I will listen to my computer.
