_THE__BOULDER_ Ballot for 2025 Week 11

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Nov. 3, 2025, 10:41 a.m.

Overall Rationale: Personal thoughts.

Rank Team Reason
Indiana Hoosiers Indiana continues to clean up. Keeping at #1.
Texas A&M Aggies No game this weekend. Keeping at #2.
Ohio State Buckeyes OSU was in control the entire time. Good work. Their resume isn't as strong as Indiana's or A&M's in my opinion, but they absolutely play like they're a top team. The Texas win wasn't looking like a big deal for a while, but Texas is coming back into the national spotlight. Overall, I think they're a great team - they have a pretty easy schedule, but they have maintained control of each game they've played. Keeping at #3.
Alabama Crimson Tide No game this weekend. Keeping at #4.
Georgia Bulldogs I'm a bit biased against this team (go Gators) but they got the job done. Keeping at #5.
BYU Cougars No game this weekend. Keeping at #6.
Ole Miss Rebels Took control by the end of the first quarter and never looked back. Solid win. Moving them up to #7 after the GT loss.
Oregon Ducks No game this past weekend but with the Vandy and GT losses they are moving up from #10.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish ND was in control the entire game, but I was kind of surprised by this scoreline. Thought they'd beat up on a now 1-8 BC team more, but they got it done and some teams ahead of them lost so moving up to #9 from #12 after the GT, Vandy, and Miami losses.
Texas Tech Red Raiders Solid win, moving up to #10 from #13 after the GT, Vandy, and Miami losses.
Louisville Cardinals VT had the lead at half, but Louisville came back and won it after being down 9 points. Always wild when a team lets up a safety, but they got the job done. Moved up from #14 after some losses ahead of them.
Utah Utes Kicked the shit out of a solid Cincy team. Utah seems to bully anyone they are bigger than while not stacking up as well skill-wise against the teams with the same physicality as them. Good win. Moved up from #17 because of the beatdown win and losses ahead of them.
Oklahoma Sooners Good win over Tennessee. Very back and forth game but, in the end, Oklahoma got the result. A few turnovers for both teams but a solid performance on offense behind Mater who had nearly 240 total yards - 159 passing and 80 on the ground. I had them at #18 last week, and I probably wouldn't have moved them up 5 spots if other teams ahead of them hadn't lost, but they are #13 for this week.
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets I've been saying that this team has been getting away with it, but I've had them in the top 10 because they've been winning. The getting away with it finally caught up to them, and they lost by 12 at NC State. While there were a couple lead changes in the 2nd quarter, once the Wolfpack took back the lead, they didn't let it go and are now 5-4 on the year. This drops GT from #7 in my book.
Virginia Cavaliers Virginia had not been looking that hot the last few weeks, but they took control against Cal and didn't let it go. While Cal is kind of mid, this does amount to Virginia's 7th straight win, and they are quietly 8-1. Fun fact, they are top of the ACC right now because their one loss was to NC State in a non-conference ACC matchup, making UVA 5-0 in their conference. Unlike Georgia Tech, Virginia has been getting away with it and was able to keep that streak going this week, but their results in the past month did not come easily and so I'm reluctant to rank them higher. There's a very real chance that this team could go 11-1, and I will likely move them up if they keep winning, but for now I will have them at #15 after moving them up from #20.
Vanderbilt Commodores Vandy did well to fight back but Texas was in control the entire game. I had Texas unranked prior to this one, as I didn't think their win over Oklahoma meant they were deserving, but it's probably time for me to acknowledge that this Texas team can be pretty good when things get moving. I now have Texas ranked at #19 and moved Vandy down from #9.
Miami Hurricanes Lost to a decent-but-not-that-good SMU. Miami was flying high earlier in the year, but they seem to be coming back down to earth. Dropped from #11 to #16.
Missouri Tigers No game this week. Moved up from #19 due to losses ahead of them.
Texas Longhorns This Texas team is kind of annoying. They have looked absolutely terrible in some games, completely inept on offense, and then you have ranked games where Arch has a career day. This was their first home game in a while, and it was the first time they played a team with a pulse at home this year, so maybe being at home and comfortable is what Manning needed, but I'm finally comfortable with having Texas in the top 25 after now having beaten Oklahoma and Vandy. If they hadn't had that abysmal game against Kentucky, I'd probably have them higher, but until we can see a string of solid performances from them, I don't quite think they deserve being higher than #19.
Tennessee Volunteers Can't say I was upset by this loss, but Tennessee played in a pretty back-and-forth game to ultimately come up short at home. They did have a fumble in the first and a pair of interceptions in the 2nd quarter but had over 450 total yards. Without those early turnovers I probably would have expected Tennessee to win here. Ultimately, dropped them from #15 to #20.
Cincinnati Bearcats They really got beat down by Utah. Dropped from #16.
USC Trojans One score win over Nebraska in Lincoln. Lincoln won in Lincoln and that moves him up one spot from #23 to #22.
Michigan Wolverines Michigan is quietly 7-2 after hosting Purdue. They were in control of this game pretty much the whole time. I would like to see a little bit more offensive output from them, they have rarely scored more than 30 points against teams with a pulse, but they're getting the job done. Moved back into the rankings for me and I gotta put them ahead of Washington since they have the same record and Michigan has the win in head-to-head.
Washington Huskies No game this weekend but I did move them back a spot and put Michigan above them.
Memphis Tigers Good win. They round out the top 25.
