1 Indiana Hoosiers = I'm too lazy to put descriptions for every team, so I'll only include them for ones that I feel deserve an explanation for their ranking.
2 Ohio State Buckeyes =
3 Texas A&M Aggies =
4 BYU Cougars ↑2 We're at the point in the season where still being undefeated in a power conference is truly impressive even if a team has looked shaky at times. The Big 12 is also pretty damn solid this year with a few real good contenders. Because of that, the current leader I feel has earned a place here in the top five.
5 Alabama Crimson Tide ↓1
6 Georgia Bulldogs ↓1
7 Ole Miss Rebels ↑1
8 Texas Tech Red Raiders ↑4 I moved them above Oregon because they actually have a quality win and as I said earlier the Big 12 is fairly deep.
9 Oregon Ducks ↑2
10 Virginia Cavaliers ↑3 Virginia doesn't feel or look like a true top ten team, but the head to head win over Louisville holds a lot of weight. There's also simply few one loss P4 teams at this point, so they get to stay up here until they lose again.
11 Louisville Cardinals ↑3
12 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets ↓5 GT and UVA both lost to NC State, but GT doesn't have a win as good as Virginia's over Louisville or Louisville's over Miami, so they get stuck behind both.
13 Notre Dame Fighting Irish ↑5 Still your best two loss team, in my opinion. The Miami loss doesn't look as great, though.
14 Utah Utes ↑6 I would NOT want to go up against Utah. They have been mercilessly slaughtering almost every team they face, including a good Cincinnati squad this past weekend. This is Indiana type dominance, only with two losses attached. Still, I believe a 10-2 Utah would definitely deserve a playoff spot.
15 Memphis Tigers ↑2 I have Memphis and North Texas up here because I view them as the current G6 playoff spot frontrunners. If that switches hands in the future, other teams will take their place. I didn't put them above ND or Utah because I believe they've distanced themselves from every other two loss P4 team.
16 North Texas Mean Green ↑NR
17 Texas Longhorns ↑NR Has looked like shit versus the bottom of the SEC, but the Oklahoma and Vanderbilt wins help balance that out.
18 Oklahoma Sooners ↑NR
19 Vanderbilt Commodores ↓10 Rest in pimp 😔
20 Missouri Tigers ↓1 Ends up here because of head to head results in the SEC stacking on top of each other. I know I had them as the second best two loss team behind ND last week, but I can't justify placing them above Oklahoma or Texas who objectively have better wins, and Vandy has the direct head to head.
21 Iowa Hawkeyes ↑4
22 USC Trojans ↑NR
23 Michigan Wolverines ↑NR
24 Washington Huskies ↑NR
25 James Madison Dukes ↓1 I only slid them down because it didn't seem fair or logical to keep them above the two loss B1G Ten teams but below the two loss SEC teams when in reality they're all very close in terms of quality. I view them as the third best G6 team currently. RECEIVING VOTES (Fringe Top 25): Miami, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, TCU, SDSU, South Florida, Navy.
