1 Ohio State Buckeyes Yes they have a lot of production to return, but I have a hard time justifying anyone in this spot over them. Lock and load like Saban era Alabama.
2 Texas Longhorns I hope you lose all of your games this year.
3 Penn State Nittany Lions Solid team that could very well take the step forward and win it all this year, or flounder in the big games. Not that Penn State has ever had issues with big games, right? Right?
4 Georgia Bulldogs I hope you lose all of your games this year.
5 Clemson Tigers I’m not sure if I’ve just bought into the hype or what with this team. I fully think it will be determined on if Klubnik or whatever his name is the qb actually has taken the steps people are saying he has. Otherwise old team that knows how to win.
6 Notre Dame Fighting Irish I’m not sure how to feel about this team. Similar to Ohio State they’re needing to reload, I just don’t have as much faith that they’ll do it as easily. Personally I’d love to see them win all but one game in particular in the regular season.
7 South Carolina Gamecocks Too high? Probably. I like their direction though. I think Sellers is a great qb, honestly I have more faith in the gamecocks than the tigers for South Carolina’s best hope this year, but I’m also delusional.
8 Miami Hurricanes Depends if Georgia was holding Carson Beck back or vice versa. I would not be shocked either way. Regardless I hope to see a quick drop out of the top 25 for the Hurricanes starting with their losses to ND and UF inshallah or whatever.
9 Arizona State Sun Devils I’m not convinced Skateboo or however it’s spelled was the sole reason for this teams success. Maybe I’m wrong but I like seeing ASU do well so they’re up here.
10 Oregon Ducks I honestly have no idea what to expect out of Oregon this year. I placed them here purely because it felt like the right spot and penalizing them too much for my own ignorance to go lower.
11 Alabama Crimson Tide Interestingly a career defining season for DeBoer or however it’s spelled. I equally want to see the team trip on itself like a core collapse supernova, as much as I don’t want to underestimate Alabama or Coach DeBoer. He’s a good coach and they’re a team that recruits well. The two basic ingredients for a good year. I’m hoping for a hilarious beat down of FSU week 1, followed up by an even more hilarious collapse the rest of the season that will be equally humiliating for both schools.
12 LSU Tigers I’m not sold on the hype. I don’t trust Bryan Kelley. They have the talent, but I’m not convinced they have the coaching or the teamwork. I think if they do well it’s in spite of Coach Kelley, not because of him. They would truly prove they’re a fam-uh-lee if they can overcome him.
13 Indiana Hoosiers I think they’ll take a solid step back, but Coach Cignetti is also just a straight up beast. In a year with even more of an even playing field, this team can be really dangerous.
14 Iowa State Cyclones I honestly don’t know much about the clones this year. I expect they’ll continue their run of good seasons, but face a bit more challenges from the Big XII this year.
15 SMU Mustangs Ew, like I find it hilarious that yall come into the ACC and kick ass, but also ew. SM Eww
16 Kansas State Wildcats Last year was a down year, but I know better than to think the wildcats aren’t a serious contender for the Big XII this year. Unfortunately that’s about all I know about K State this year.
17 Ole Miss Rebels I really don’t like having them this high, but Kiffin keeps pulling good seasons and transfer classes out of his ass so I guess I have to give them credit for that.
18 Michigan Wolverines I think I may be being a little mean to Michigan here, but I need them to prove they’re back before I give them credit.
19 Louisville Cardinals I think Louisville has been getting crazy disrespect for not being ranked. Honestly they’re who I’m hoping wins the ACC
20 Texas A&M Aggies Will we suck? Will we not? Probably both at the end of the day and I have learned to accept that. I realistically can’t justify starting us higher than 20 when I know what November always brings us. Sadness
21 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Hey, I’m gonna say something controversial, I like Haynes King. Yeah, I like him and I’m not afraid to say it. Team is largely returning, they have a solid O line from what I understand, should be a fun team to watch.
22 Boise State Broncos I’m sorry Boise. I know it’s quite rude to drop you this far, but I do think Jeanty leaving is going to make things much harder for you. You’re still the most likely G5 rep imo but just not as solid as last year.
23 Minnesota Golden Gophers I’ve been Gopher-pilled, what can I say. I think this team has the potential to make the playoffs. Like I said, I’m delusional. Something something boat something something sky your mom.
24 Tulane Green Wave Originally I had BYU ranked much higher, they’ve since dropped out and Tulane has snuck in in place of Memphis. Were those the right calls? Who knows not me
25 Kansas Jayhawks Well the bottom of my rankings got quite shuffled with the Ratzleff saga, and I found myself putting Kansas here. In all honesty it was a pretty even match for them and the Texas schools Tech, Baylor, and TCU. So rather than picking least least favorites among the Texas schools I went with KU.
