Overall Rationale: Alright, we have made it to the conclusion of the 2024 CFB season and must say it was one to remember by as we started a 12 Team CFP and it was nice to see schools host a 1st Round Game and saw games that you’d otherwise never see. Notre Dame and Indiana in the battle of Indiana, Ohio State taking in Tennessee at the Horseshoe, SMU sneaking in and head to Happy Valley, and Clemson and Texas meetup in the battle of the orange teams. All the home teams won and while we saw snoozers in Pasadena where Ohio State took Oregon to the woodshed, and in the Desert where Penn State took Boise State to the pasture, we saw some good games coming at New Orleans where Notre Dame beat Georgia. But things were crazy in Atlanta where it went to OT and Arizona State was one play away from winning the Peach Bowl, but Texas Prevailed in the end. Then the Semifinals happened and both games were good first in Miami with Notre Dame beating Penn State in the final seconds, and then a clash of the Blue Bloods where in Dallas we saw Ohio State take care of business, but Texas did their best to claw back. Then the ultimate ender in the National Championship Game in Atlanta where Notre Dame took the early lead before Ohio State came in and more or less took control of the game and claim the National Championship. We also saw great games like in the Pop Tarts Bowl where it was a back and forth game before Iowa State took care of business in the end, and Illinois beating South Carolina in the Cheez-its Bowl. And Alabama being mortal where we saw a rematch of the 2024 Rose Bowl and just like the beginning of the year Michigan found a way to beat Alabama twice. That said I could write more down, but nonetheless Congrats to Ohio State on winning the National Championship and bring B1G Football back on top these past 2 years after a decade of SEC Dominance. PS: Glad to see Nebraska have a winning season for the first time since 2016 because it was torture these last 7 seasons.
