Overall Rationale: Teams are graded on offensive and defensive scales, based on the quality of their opponent, point total, and whether they won or lost. The two scales are combined together to produce the final ranking. Calculations are performed iteratively, so if one of your team's past opponents does very well, that will help you. At the moment, the /r/CFB preseason poll accounts for 20% of the ranking value. This will continue to diminish by 10 percentage points per week until the later stages of the season when it'll be 100% calculated.
