1 Oregon Ducks Oregon is my number 1 team, sitting undefeated at 7-0 with a great win over Ohio State (5-1) and also another very nice win over Boise State (5-1). Big matchup next week with Illinois.
2 BYU Cougars BYU is undefeated after a close call this weekend. They are 7-0 with wins over Kansas State (6-1) and SMU (6-1)
3 Georgia Bulldogs Georgia jumps back up in my poll after a great win at Texas (6-1). Also have a great win over Clemson (6-1). Lost to Alabama.
4 Penn State Nittany Lions Penn State is undefeated at 6-0. Best win is Illinois (6-1). Next best win is USC? (3-4)
5 Indiana Hoosiers Indiana is 7-0. Best win is a completely dominant win over Nebraska (5-2). Also have a win over Maryland (4-3)
6 Miami Hurricanes Miami is undefeated at 7-0 but lacks top notch wins. Best wins are Florida (4-3), Virginia Tech (4-3), and Louisville (4-3).
7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Notre Dame is a weird team to rank. They are 6-1. They have a very nice win over Texas A&M (6-1). They also have wins over Georgia Tech (5-3) and Louisville (4-3). They have a terrible loss to NIU. I tend to put more weight on the quality of wins vs losses and I have a hard time ranking them below Texas A&M, who they beat at their place.
8 Texas A&M Aggies Texas A&M is 6-1. Loss to Notre Dame. Good win over Missouri (6-1). Next best wins are over Florida (4-3) and Arkansas (4-3)
9 Tennessee Volunteers Tennessee is 6-1 with a good win over Alabama (5-2). Also has a win over Florida (4-3). Lost to Arkansas
10 Pittsburgh Panthers Pittsburgh is 6-0. Best win is Cincinnati (5-2)
11 Iowa State Cyclones Iowa State is 7-0 but also lacks high quality wins. Best win is over Iowa (4-3). Next best win is probably Baylor or West Virginia who are both 3-4.
12 LSU Tigers LSU is 6-1 with a nice win over Ole Miss (5-2). Lost to USC. Also defeated Arkansas (4-3)
13 Navy Midshipmen Navy is 6-0 with a nice win over Memphis (6-1)
14 Kansas State Wildcats Kansas State is 6-1. They have a nice win over Colorado (5-2)
15 Illinois Fighting Illini Illinois is 6-1 with a loss to Penn State. Best wins are over Nebraska (5-2) and Michigan (4-3)
16 Boise State Broncos Boise State is 5-1 with a close loss to Oregon. Have a nice win over Washington State (6-1). Big matchup next week with UNLV that should put the winner in the driver seat for the g5 playoff spot.
17 Texas Longhorns Texas drops in my poll after losing to Georgia. Also, their win over Michigan isn't looking as impressive anymore. Best win is Michigan (4-3). Next best win is Oklahoma (4-3).
18 Ohio State Buckeyes Ohio State is 5-1 with a loss to Oregon. Best wins are Iowa (4-3) and Michigan State (4-3)
19 Syracuse Orange Syracuse is 5-1 with a nice win over UNLV (6-1) and a win over Georgia Tech (5-3)
20 Army West Point Army is 7-0 but hasn't really beaten anyone.
21 Clemson Tigers Clemson is 6-1. Got stomped by Georgia. Best wins is probably Virginia (4-3).
22 SMU Mustangs SMU is 6-1 with a close loss to BYU. Best win is probably Louisville (4-3) or TCU (4-3)
23 Missouri Tigers Missouri is 6-1. Got blown out by Texas A&M. Best win is over Vanderbilt (5-2). Also defeated Boston College (4-3)
24 Alabama Crimson Tide Alabama is my only ranked team with 2 losses. They have a great win over Georgia (6-1). They also have a nice win over Wisconsin (5-2).
25 Duke Blue Devils Duke is 6-1 but lacks quality wins.
