Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Georgia Bulldogs | Does Kirby now have the crown as the new king of CFB? Streets are saying maybe yes. Even if they didn't make the playoffs last year, Georgia is still the team to beat this year |
| Ohio State Buckeyes | In a reversal of the norm, last year's Ohio St team was let down by their QB during a great defensive season. To make up for it, Day has recruited every QB under the sun in the hopes one of them will get them over the hump. I think Will Howard might just be the man to do it |
| Texas Longhorns | Is Texas back? Many people are saying. Texas had a great year last year and is returning a lot of its core cast. Ewers es muy bueno. I think they might not have as rough to a start to life in the SEC as some people hope |
| Alabama Crimson Tide | How will Alabama survive in the post Saban era. It's the question everyone in CFB is asking. But even without the GOAT, this is still a very good Alabama team and if milroe can take a jump... |
| Oregon Ducks | quack quack. The ducks appear to be doing a lot better than their purple rival in their first season in the Big Ten. Dillon Gabriel is a dawg and I think Oregon might be able to pick up where they left off last year (without the specter of Penix to haunt them) |
| Michigan Wolverines | Hold onto to that national championship tightly Michigan, you might not be able to lord it over Ohio St for much longer. Even if they lost players (and a coach) to the NFL, this team still has a number of quality players returning and I wouldn't take them to go gently into the night. |
| Florida State Seminoles | This one of two sleeper teams in my top ten to be the best team in CFB. I like Uiagalelei and this is an angry team after last year. I think this is one of these seasons where they either go undefeated or a really embarrassing 7-5. I'm betting on the former. |
| Tennessee Volunteers | The other sleeper team. I love my QBs with ridiculously easy to pronounce last names. Iamaleava Iamaleava Iamaleava Iamaleava. If he's good, this is a team that might avenge the Volunteers of two years ago. |
| Utah Utes | Death. Taxes. and Utah. This team will always be good year over year. I think their defense can run the B12 in their first year. |
| Missouri Tigers | FANTASTIC year last year for Mizzou and they get their chef back at QB. Let him Cook! |
| USC Trojans | I think USC is being a little bit slept on this season. Lincoln Riley has put a lot of effort into rebuilding that defense and Moss looked very good in his outing. I think the Trojans could be a contended for the best team in CFB if things go their way. But also it's Lincoln Riley so they'll probably give up 50 points a game |
| Ole Miss Rebels | I'm not totally sold on the Rebs this year. Yeah Kiffin doesn't have the big bad Saban to stop on him but I'm still not convinced they're not the Penn St of the SEC. |
| Notre Dame Fighting Irish | This team honestly feels the exact same as last year. Talented senior ACC North Carolina school QB comes in to fix their QB woes, now where have I seen this before. Oh yeah. Didn't work out tremendously last time but who knows. What's the definition of insanity again? Still a talented team tho |
| Clemson Tigers | Come on Dabo, show me some life. I think this year has to be the last year of the rebuild or someone at Clemson has to start asking questions. Dabo is an extremely talented coach which any program would be lucky to have but is he a national championship level coach anymore? |
| Oklahoma State Cowboys | Will OK St go undefeated or winless? Will they beat Utah and then lose to South Dakota st? Anything is possible with this program. Also Ollie Gordon is very good at football. I know hot take |
| Penn State Nittany Lions | Drew Allar is still your QB. I am not moved. |
| Arizona Wildcats | Coach leaves, team leaves but dag gummit the wildcats are still kicking. Even with all the drama, I still think this team is a contender to win the B12. Arizona might have a professional football team! |
| Kansas Jayhawks | It feels like the Jayhawks are so close. This might be the year. No Oklahoma, No Texas. B12 wide open. Shoot through gap Jayhawks |
| Kansas State Wildcats | Howard leaving is a big loss and It'll be interesting to see how this team fairs in his absence. Still very very talented and I wouldn't count them out just yet. |
| Miami Hurricanes | Is this team talented enough to be ranked higher? yes. Is Cristobal still the hc? also yes. |
| NC State Wolfpack | sneaky team at the end of last year that shot up in the polls. If Florida St struggles and Clemson still isn't back, the Wolfpack might be in a very good spot in the ACC. |
| LSU Tigers | Losing Daniels and the defense still sucks? Honestly I could've ranked them lower but they're still LSU. |
| Wisconsin Badgers | Very underrated team in my opinion. Fickell is one of the best coaches in CFB and now finally has a year under his belt. Badgers back as one of the premier b10 teams would be something. |
| Oklahoma Sooners | Idk if this team is ready for SEC ball. The jury is still out on Venables and Gabriels certainly doesn't help. |
| Maryland Terrapins | GO TERPS WOO. NO TAGOVAILOA. NO PROBLEM. TERPS ARE WINNIN THA SUPER BOWL BABY!!! |
