Overall Rationale: It's preseason, all based off feel. Looked at both the AP and Coaches but did not copy them. Lot of "chalk" picks as from what I've seen, this might be a big down year for G5 schools.

11 Penn State Nittany Lions Built for the 12 team playoff. Franklin doesn't need to win the B1G "big ones"
12 LSU Tigers Could be a quick exit from the rankings but on paper, they look good

14 Utah Utes These 4 Big12 teams are all equal right now in my eyes. Homer pick took top spot

20 USC Trojans Like LSU, going to be a quick exit out of the rankings. Riley can't beat real defenses

22 Arizona Wildcats Same roster (key guys), but new coach. It's interesting
23 Texas A&M Aggies Elko is the guy, roster looks good but we'll see
24 Washington Huskies Great coach to replace a great coach. They'll be alright
25 West Virginia Mountaineers They could mess up the Top 5 in the Big12 very easily
