coletheredditer Ballot for 2024 Preseason

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Aug. 17, 2024, 5:58 p.m.

Overall Rationale: It’s good to be back, this poll was made prior to the release of the AP Poll, as to not include their bias, honorable mentions are NC State, Boise State, Texas A&M, Iowa State, SMU, Texas State, Wisconsin, and Washington

Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs Return coach and QB, should be the favorites to win it all, I said that last year and look how that turned out
Ohio State Buckeyes New QB and coach that hasn’t been able to make it to home plate despite being a pinch runner at 3rd
Oregon Ducks The Ducks best team on paper in a couple of years, let’s see how the new conference effects them
Texas Longhorns Horns return QB and coach, were one play away from beating Washington last year, vs Michigan should be a sign of the season ahead
Ole Miss Rebels Rebs have good returning numbers and only looked bad once last year, could be best team in years, could flame out and could be seen poorly when the season ends
Alabama Crimson Tide Saban’s gone, everybody panic, or don’t because you got the best open coach and a roster that nearly beat Michigan, welcome to Madison week 3
Notre Dame Fighting Irish First wild card, overreactions will be had week 1 vs A&M
Penn State Nittany Lions Penn State has had the same season every year since 2017 and it’s getting boring 10-2 with losses to OSU and Michigan, Shake things up this time maybe?
Florida State Seminoles Lost a lot, probably still favored to win the ACC
Missouri Tigers Mizzou is the team I am probably the team I’m the most irrationally high on, returning Luther Burden could be the piece to a playoff berth
Kansas State Wildcats Cats! Might be the best team in the XII, really 6 different teams could win this conference and I wouldn’t be surprised
Utah Utes Utes get their starting QB back, could also win conference
Oklahoma State Cowboys Cowboys came out of nowhere to the XII title game last season, let’s see if they can repeat it this time
Michigan Wolverines Cheaters lost a lot, including their coach and QB, can’t doubt them too hard, let’s hope all the B1G teams has changed their signs since then
LSU Tigers Tigers also lost a lot of talent, but week 1 vs USC will really tell us where they’re at
Clemson Tigers I just can’t doubt them, I don’t think they’re the 16th best team in the nation, but when they beat FSU I’ll look dumb for not having them higher
Kansas Jayhawks If Jalon Daniels is healthy they make the playoffs, book it
Oklahoma Sooners Could cause some noise in the new SEC, schedule OK State now please
Miami Hurricanes They had a good recruiting class I guess? Will start 6-0 and end 8-4
Arizona Wildcats Coach was hired by Washington, but they kept most impact players in Tucson, could go well, or not
Tennessee Volunteers Bottom 5 along with NC State, Boise State, and TAMU were all switched up multiple times while making this list
Iowa Hawkeyes Dominant D + competent QB = success?
Virginia Tech Hokies Hokies have the most returning players of any P5 team, they might be back
USC Trojans They fired their incompetent DC, shame the Badgers hired him, USC could be good but they lost a lot
West Virginia Mountaineers My true boom or bust team, could be fun and win 9 or 10 games, or the brutal schedule they play could catch up to them and they go 4-8
