RedBarracuda25 Ballot for 2023 Week 13

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Nov. 19, 2023, 4:17 p.m.

Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs Georgia has removed any doubt about them being the #1 team in the country the past few weeks. It's looking like this team might roll to a third straight championship. I wonder when the media will start to turn against the dawgs, but for now I still don't mind them
Michigan Wolverines Not the most convincing win against Maryland, but then again when do they. The Game is for all the marbles, prove everyone wrong or prove them right.
Washington Huskies I've been saying "phew" after too many huskies games. They've been playing tough opponents and avoiding the traditional PACannibalism, but my trust in this team is waning. Either matchup of Oregon or Arizona in the PAC12 champ will be good litmus tests for the Huskies.
Ohio State Buckeyes If only they had this Ohio State defense last year. In a reverse of previous years, it's the offense that concerns me going into The Game. It'll be for all the marbles. Three straight losses to Michigan would really sting
Florida State Seminoles I'm gutted for the seminoles. This was supposed to be the year they were back. I'm keeping them at 5 to respect their record, but this is brutal. The next two games will be good to see if this is still a playoff team without Jordan Travis
Oregon Ducks Just one more win and the ducks get that rematch they've been eyeing for a long time. The heisman favorite and a pac-12 championship should be enough to get the ducks into the playoffs, but be careful not to overlook the beavers.
Texas Longhorns The chaos Texas has needed above them hasn't materialized quite yet but there's still time. As long as the longhorns win out, they'll be sitting pretty for the playoff committee, but I would be sweating a little if I was them.
Alabama Crimson Tide Alabama marches on and refuses to go away. An iron bowl against an Auburn team that doesn't seem to have the magic and then a sec championship game against the new Alabama. Alabama is still very much alive in the playoff hunt.
Louisville Cardinals One small win for the cardinals, one giant leap for Cardinals kind. This team has gone where no cardinal has gone before: the acc championship. With FSU now down their centerpiece in Jordan Travis, the Cardinals are positioned perfectly to cause maximum chaos. The world isn't ready for the NY6 cards
Missouri Tigers The third best SEC team survives another. A perfect send off on senior night. Cannot wait to see these guys play in a very, very, very good bowl game
Penn State Nittany Lions Penn St rolls down another opponent, but very depressed this time. Can you justify firing a 10-2 coach? Even though we're still in season, lots of questions for the Nittany lions in the offseason.
Oklahoma Sooners Oklahoma survives making this almost miracle season even worse. They're still alive for the championship somehow, and a b12 championship might just be enough to save this season.
Ole Miss Rebels Ole Miss better pray to god Lane loves his kids more than the brinks trucks A&M might load up. Although being considered the Penn st of the SEC might be enough to save them
Tulane Green Wave The Green Wave might do it again. After a tremendous season last year, they're on pace to out do themselves. Keep on keepin on and the G5 championship is theirs
Arizona Wildcats The turnaround for these wildcats has been... wild. Going from a losing record to potentially playing in the Pac12 championship. They'll need some help from their beaver friends, but the possibility is very real
Oregon State Beavers The dreams of a middle finger pac12 championship are dead, but I think giving the middle finger to Oregon is a good enough consolation for the beavers. Create some beautiful chaos and maybe keep the Pac out of the playoffs as a final "fuck you"
Liberty Flames nom nom nom, cupcakes delicious. (still they keep winning tho)
LSU Tigers The case for a Jayden Daniels heisman is all LSU has left this season, and it's seems like as usual they might fall just short. I'm not sure I'd be excited as an LSU fan for a post-daniels team with how bad that defense is
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Oh there's the quarterback that was going to lead the Irish to the playoffs, only took him to the end of the season.
Iowa Hawkeyes Every week I have to increase Iowa's ranking is another week where I contemplate wether CFB is real. If this team can bring Michigan or Ohio St down to their level, they'll be eternal sickos champions
Kansas State Wildcats Perhaps I didn't respect the wildcats enough but not ranking them last week. This is a good football team, and they keep their little brother in blue down
Toledo Rockets I ranked the rockets last week, and I'll rank em again! Quietly becoming a team to root for
James Madison Dukes The mighty duke has finally been overthrown. I was really hoping that JMU would be able to claim a national championship as compensation for not making a bowl but alas. Still a good enough team to be ranked in my eyes
Oklahoma State Cowboys I have 0 clue how good this team is. Every week they play football they baffle me
UNLV Rebels Lots of good teams deserving of this last spot, but I'm going to give it to the rebels. Considering they've never even received votes before this year, I think they're deserving of some love.
