Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs Tennessee is severely overranked (as in they should never have been ranked) but I think the last few weeks have shown Georgia is probably still the best team in CFB.
Ohio State Buckeyes At least Ohio State didn’t almost lose like a certain other B1G team
Washington Huskies Washington played a strong defensive game and while I think Penix’s Heisman campaign took a big hit, he still came up with some clutch throws.
Michigan Wolverines Did Michigan get caught looking ahead or is there reason for concern with Michigan?
Florida State Seminoles I considered dropping FSU because of the Travis injury, but I’ll give them and the new QB the benefit of the doubt. However, an unimpressive showing against Florida might lead to a drop for Florida State, even if they’re undefeated.
Alabama Crimson Tide Stop playing FCS teams in November guys
Texas Longhorns Texas ain’t blowing people away, but they keep winning. The CFP dream is still alive for now.
Oregon Ducks Bo Nix has to be the Heisman leader, right?
Louisville Cardinals Jeff Brohm for coach of the year?
Missouri Tigers Or maybe Eli Drinkwitz for coach of the year?
Arizona Wildcats Or maybe Fisch for coach of the year?
Ole Miss Rebels Stop playing FCS teams in November
Oregon State Beavers Oregon State fought hard with Washington and made life hard for that offense, especially in the 2nd half. They just need more offensive firepower IMO and that could hurt them against Oregon
Penn State Nittany Lions This offense needs a lot of fixin
Oklahoma Sooners It can’t be a good sign that since the RRR, Oklahoma is largely having to survive against teams they should be beating, and lost against the only other ranked teams they played
Liberty Flames I don’t care about the SOS. Going undefeated is fucking hard to do. I don’t like Liberty the school but they should get the G5 NY6 nod if they win out
Tulane Green Wave This was the first time Tulane looked good in weeks
LSU Tigers Stop playing FCS teams in November
James Madison Dukes Yeah they lost, but this is still a really good team and a top 20 team IMO
Notre Dame Fighting Irish It had to be weird for Sam Hartman to go against is old school
Kansas State Wildcats KSU needs to keep Kleiman at all costs
Iowa Hawkeyes Top 10 defense with a bottom 10 offense
Toledo Rockets Still have to give respect to 10-1 Toledo
SMU Mustangs I genuinely believe SMU might be the best team in the AAC. Assuming they don’t collapse against Navy, they have a golden opportunity against Tulane/UTSA
NC State Wolfpack NC State is quietly 8-3 and nobody is noticing them
