Overall Rationale: I have no idea what's going on but I don't think anyone else does either.

1 Texas Longhorns It's a week earlier than I expected, but I truly believe they're the best team in the nation.
2 Georgia Bulldogs They did not beat Auburn. They survived Auburn. Next week is going to be very very interesting.
3 Michigan Wolverines Michigan looked as good as advertised for the first time this year and it is glorious.
4 Ohio State Buckeyes [IDLE] Interested to see how they do next week.
5 Washington Huskies [IDLE] I am very high on the Huskies, but I really want to see how they do against the back end of their schedule.
6 Oregon Ducks A very minor scare to start the game, but then they put up 42 unanswered because why not.
7 Penn State Nittany Lions The Nittany Lions looked mortal in the first half. This was a bit of a head scratcher.
8 Florida State Seminoles [IDLE]
9 USC Trojans What was that? No. Seriously. What the heck was that? That wasnt Colorado having a good second half, that was USC completley collapsing. The USC defense was just shambolic after the break.
10 Notre Dame Fighting Irish That was way too close for confort if you're a Notre Dame fan. Deep breath, Uncle Chris. Deeeeep breath.
11 Alabama Crimson Tide It took them a few weeks, but Alabama finally looks like they're hitting their stride. If a few results go their way, I think they could be in the Top 10 as early as next week.
12 Oklahoma Sooners The Sooners have done very well so far, but next week will require another gear.
13 Washington State Cougars [IDLE] Moved up thanks to Oregon State
14 Miami Hurricanes [IDLE] That win against Texas A&M just looks better and better.
15 Ole Miss Rebels The offense is insane, but the defense needs a lot of work. However, this game carries them into a really interesting four game stretch.
16 North Carolina Tar Heels [IDLE]
17 Oregon State Beavers What a way to turn it around after a bad week against Washington State. Just remember that you're on national television, coach.
18 Utah Utes The defense wasn't awful, but the offense just disappeared. I think they'll be just fine going into the bye before playing Cal.
19 Tennessee Volunteers The Florida loss isn't looking very good, but they control whether it was a fluke.
20 Duke Blue Devils Close, but no cigar. They have plenty of chanses to make up for that loss with FSU, Louisville, and UNC on the schedule.
21 Kentucky Wildcats Welcome back to the Top 25, UK. Enjoy it while it lasts. You've got the Dawgs next week. Good luck and godspeed.
22 Missouri Tigers As I said last week, Mizzou is so much fun to watch. If their last few performances have anything to say for themselves, next week could be a very interesting game.
23 Fresno State Bulldogs Fresno State just keeps on trucking.
24 Maryland Terrapins The Terps have looked really good so far. Next week is a prove-it game against Ohio State.
25 Louisville Cardinals I really struggled with this one, but screw it. They've done well on both sides of the ball and have only had one real scare so far. Now, that scare was a big one, but they have looked pretty solid.
