1 Tennessee Volunteers Tennessee is my top team after a phenomenal win over Alabama (6-1). They also have wins over LSU (5-2) and Pitt (4-2)
2 Clemson Tigers Clemson is 7-0 with wins over Wake (5-1), NC State (5-2) and FSU (4-3)
3 Michigan Wolverines Michigan is 7-0 got a nice win over Penn State (5-1) this weekend to jump back up in my rankings. They also have a solid win over Maryland (5-2).
4 Georgia Bulldogs Georgia is 7-0 with a really nice win over Oregon (5-1). They are slipping a bit in my poll because they don't really have a second good win right now. They play Tennessee at the start of November and have a great chance to prove where they belong then.
5 UCLA Bruins UCLA is 6-0. They have nice wins over Utah (5-2) who looks a little better this week after taking down USC and also over Washington (5-2)
6 TCU Horned Frogs TCU is 6-0 and picked up a really nice win over Oklahoma State this weekend (5-1). They also have wins over Kansas (5-2) and Oklahoma (4-3)
7 Syracuse Orange Syracuse is 6-0 with nice wins over NC State (5-2) and Purdue (5-2)
8 Ole Miss Rebels Ole Miss is 7-0. Their best win is over Kentucky (5-2). They play LSU next weekend.
9 USC Trojans USC dropped a game to Utah this weekend, but is still at 6-1. They have a nice win over Oregon State (5-2) and also have a win over Washington State (4-3).
10 Ohio State Buckeyes Ohio State is undefeated (6-0) but really hasn't beaten anyone impressive. Their best win is either Notre Dame (3-3) or Rutgers (3-3)
11 Alabama Crimson Tide Alabama got their first loss to Tennessee this weekend, but they have a nice win over Texas (5-2) as well as wins over Arkansas (4-3) and Texas A&M (3-3). They have upcoming games against Miss St, LSU, and Ole Miss to show where they belong.
12 Utah Utes Utah has 2 losses and is 5-2, but they have a very nice win over USC (6-1). They're hard to rank but I currently have them as my top 2 loss team.
13 Penn State Nittany Lions Penn State is 6-1 after their loss to Michigan. Best win is over Purdue (5-2).
14 Illinois Fighting Illini Illinois is 6-1. They have a nice win over Minnesota (4-2) and also a win over Iowa (3-3).
15 Purdue Boilermakers Purdue is 5-2 with losses to Penn State and Syracuse. They have wins over Minnesota (4-2) and Maryland (5-2).
16 LSU Tigers LSU is 5-2 with wins over Mississippi State (5-2) and Florida (4-3)
17 Kentucky Wildcats Kentucky is 5-2 with wins over Mississippi State (5-2) and Florida (4-3).
18 Oregon Ducks Oregon is 5-1. They're resume has slipped a bit with teams like BYU dropping a few games. Their best win is now probably Washington State (4-3). They have a huge matchup with UCLA next weekend.
19 Wake Forest Demon Deacons Wake forest is 5-1 with a loss to Clemson. Their best win is over Florida State (4-3)
20 North Carolina Tar Heels UNC is 6-1. They have a loss to Notre Dame. Best win is probably over Duke (4-3)
21 Oklahoma State Cowboys Oklahoma State is 5-1. They have a close loss to TCU. Their best wins are over Texas Tech (3-3) and Baylor (3-3)
22 Texas Longhorns Texas is 4-2 and is tough to rank. They have the dominant, blowout victory over Oklahoma (4-3) but lack much quality in other wins. They did look tough in a close loss to Alabama.
23 Kansas State Wildcats Kansas State is 5-1 with a loss to Tulane. They have wins over Oklahoma (4-3) and Texas Tech (3-3). Big matchup with TCU next week.
24 Oregon State Beavers Oregon State is 5-2 with wins over Washington State (4-3) and Boise State (4-2)
25 Tulane Green Wave Tulane is 6-1 with a nice win over Kansas State (5-1).
