1 Ohio State Buckeyes Ohio State has been the most complete and dominant team in college football this year. They’ve dominated conference play and outclassed opponents in front of them.
2 Georgia Bulldogs Other then a couple too-close-for-comfort games, Georgia has been dominant the way we’d expect them to be this season. A win against Vanderbilt keeps them at #2.
3 Tennessee Volunteers Tennessee won a close one that they very easily could have lost, but the big win against Alabama has me switching Bama and UT’s spots. Tennessee stays undefeated and gets into the top 3.
4 Michigan Wolverines Michigan had a resounding victory over #10 Penn State, allowing them to hop over Clemson for me this week.
5 Clemson Tigers Clemson took care of business in the end against Florida State, but in comparison to Michigan’s dominant win against Penn State, Clemson was leapfrogged this week by Michigan
6 Alabama Crimson Tide Bama could have very easily won this game, but due to now being a one loss team, I dropped them below the top undefeated teams for now.
7 Ole Miss Rebels Ole Miss won a game against Auburn that had its shaky moments but was a 14 point victory in the end.
8 TCU Horned Frogs TCU won an overtime thriller against OSU, and TCU looks like they control their destiny to the Big 12 title game.
9 UCLA Bruins Bye week, moving up one due to teams above losing
10 USC Trojans Lost by a two point conversion to a very solid Utah team. Not enough to move down a ton.
11 Oregon Ducks Bye week, staying where he is.
12 Oklahoma State Cowboys OSU lost a close one in overtime, not enough for me to move them down a ton.
13 Wake Forest Demon Deacons Bye Week
14 Kansas State Wildcats Bye Week, moving up a ton because of teams in front
15 Syracuse Orange Very impressive victory over NC State puts Syracuse in the top 15
16 Penn State Nittany Lions Bad loss to Michigan, but only one loss so not going down too far.
17 Illinois Fighting Illini Another good win for Illinois moves them up
18 Utah Utes Utah’s win against USC was ultimately a coin flip by the end, but a good win nonetheless moves them up
19 Cincinnati Bearcats Bye Week
20 Kentucky Wildcats Good win against State to get their season back on track
21 Texas Longhorns Survived against Iowa State, only moving up because of teams above them.
22 South Alabama Jaguars This team is undefeated in their conference and the only loss is a one possession loss to an undefeated UCLA. Absolutely a team who deserves to be ranked.
23 Mississippi State Bulldogs Not a great game against Kentucky, the offense looked abysmal. Still good enough to be in the top 25
24 Tulane Green Wave Another Group of 5 that has been doing great this season. The one loss to Southern Miss really hurt them, but they deserve to be in the top 25.
25 North Carolina Tar Heels They’ve had quite a few ugly wins and the one loss to an up-and-down Notre Dame team isn’t great, but the Tar Heels boast a very legit offense and are a team that could potentially spoil a higher ranked team’s night. Chosen over NC State because NC State’s season outlook looks quite bleak after the news about Devin Leary.
