owlalwaysloveyew Ballot for 2021 Week 10

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Oct. 31, 2021, 9:03 a.m.

Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs Georgia are in a league of their own this year and have already locked the SEC East. The team doesn't face any real chances until the SEC championship, likely against Bama
Cincinnati Bearcats Tulane appear to have the ability to make top teams play them close, but Cincinnati still won by 19 points
Michigan State Spartans Kenneth Walker III is a top Heisman candidate. That is all. Michigan State faces Purdue as a top 5 team next, which is always a dangerous proposition.
Oklahoma Sooners Oklahoma was back to looking like a top 10 team in. their 52-21 win over Texas Tech. They get a bye week before facing 1-loss Baylor, likely their toughest matchup yet
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Notre Dame took down UNC in a 44-34 victory. They face the tricky Navy offense next weekend
Oregon Ducks Oregon took down Colorado 52-29 and stay in the CFP conversation. Oregon must be glad they scheduled and beat Ohio State this year, because the rest of the Pac 12 isn't helping their strength of schedule
Oklahoma State Cowboys Oklahoma State are on the outside looking in, hoping Baylor drop one more conference game. OSU beat Kansas 55-3
Wake Forest Demon Deacons I know it was against Duke, but Wake Forest looked like a complete team. The schedule is stacked with better ACC teams in the next four weeks
Baylor Bears Baylor got the W over Texas. They play TCU next before a high profile matchup against Oklahoma (coming off a bye) the following weekend
Ohio State Buckeyes Ohio State played a close one against Penn State, ultimately winning based on a scoop and score fumble return TD
Michigan Wolverines Michigan played a complete game against Michigan State, but ultimately couldn't put together the win. They are still 3rd in the Big 10 East and could take the top spot if Ohio State beats MI State and Michigan beats tOSU (along with winning out)
Texas A&M Aggies BYE week. Auburn is next
Alabama Crimson Tide BYE week. LSU is next
Houston Cougars Houston toppled SMU in a great ending late Saturday. Two of the teams leaving the AAC are atop the conference standings
Auburn Tigers Auburn took down Ole Miss in a 31-20 matchup.
SMU Mustangs SMU was up with about 30 seconds left on the clock, but let Houston get a kick return TD. SMU is now on the outside looking in on the AAC Championship
Kentucky Wildcats Kentucky lost to MS State over the weekend
BYU Cougars BYU made a splash with a 66-49 win over Virginia. What is this, basketball?
Ole Miss Rebels Ole Miss racked up a 2nd loss this weekend. They play their old coach's new team, Liberty, this coming Saturday
Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns 45-0 over Texas State. The Cajuns are still Ragin'.
UTSA Roadrunners UTSA wins the bye week! Their hope of facing a ranked team went away with UTEP losing to FAU this weekend
Appalachian State Mountaineers 59-28 over ULM
Fresno State Bulldogs Fresno state took down the #21 ranked San Diego State. Despite an inexplicable loss to Hawaii, Fresno State looks like one of the more formidable G5 teams this year. They play Boise State next
Coastal Carolina Chanticleers Coastal Carolina narrowly defeated Troy in a 35-28 Thursday night game. They play a weakned GA Southern squad this coming weekend
Minnesota Golden Gophers Minnesota are on a three game win streak after an inexplicable loss to Bowling Green in September. They are one game ahead of the competition in the Big 10 west and all the 3-2 conference challengers remain on the Gophers schedule
