LeWoofle Ballot for 2021 Week 10

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Nov. 1, 2021, 9:46 a.m.

Overall Rationale: Human poll relying mostly on Resume, SoS, and MoV. Eye-test used sparingly, and only in situations with similar bodies of work for the season. I try to actively negate poll inertia and allow strong movements up and down if the resume doesnt support your placements after the win or loss, with 2 results in a row resulting in much larger movement.

Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs Gods among men.
Cincinnati Bearcats
Michigan State Spartans Signature win over Michigan and Decent MoV gives MSU the spot JUST behind Cincy. Cincy and MSU almost interchangeable.
Oklahoma Sooners OU lacks a signature win, but you dont accidentally go 9-0. Strong MoV and the opportunity to finish strong with 3 ranked wins gives OU the likely ceiling of the number 2 spot unless UGA drops a game.
Oregon Ducks Oregon and Ohio State are interchangeable for the 5 spot, with Oregons QB looking good and adding a strong MoV to the resume, addressing the potential concerns for Oregon on top of regaining health. If theres not a strong showing at Washington next week, expect a drop below OSU.
Ohio State Buckeyes Ohio State closely beating a decent PSU team leaps them over Bama. Oregon and Ohio State are interchangeable for the 5 spot, with Oregons QB looking good and adding a strong MoV to the resume.
Alabama Crimson Tide Signature win at Ole Miss is now less impactful since they lost to auburn. Ohio State beating a decent PSU team leaps them over bama.
Wake Forest Demon Deacons Undefeated with a P5 schedule, even if slightly weaker.
Michigan Wolverines 4 to 9 with a loss to MSU. Sucks to drop 5 spots with a close win to a top team, but the top 10 is becoming more and more competitive.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Still not sold on ND, but the resume is improving steadily.
Oklahoma State Cowboys
Baylor Bears
Texas A&M Aggies Best win of all the 2-loss teams puts them squarely in the top 15.
Auburn Tigers Im starting to think this Auburn team can challenge Bama. Best loss of all the 2 loss teams with several decent wins.
BYU Cougars Should have had BYU ranked last week around rank 20. Good win over a good Virginia team shoots them up, coupled with several 1 loss teams picking up their second loss.
Ole Miss Rebels
Iowa Hawkeyes
Kentucky Wildcats
Fresno State Bulldogs Loss to a good oregon team and a bad hawaii team, but wins over a decent UCLA team and a good SDSU puts them squarely in the middle of the two loss teams.
UTSA Roadrunners
Houston Cougars
Minnesota Golden Gophers
Pittsburgh Panthers
SMU Mustangs
Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns
