Overall Rationale: Based off of the algorithm I developed last year given the very strange season. As with last week, I did not take a strict algorithmic ranking here, but do show their rating in the reason for each team. In particular, the relative ratings of conferences seems like it might be fairly predictive, but is out of sync with standard rankings, so in particular the Big Ten and SEC are sandbagged a bit compared to what the algorithm would suggest. Relative rating within conferences is generally preserved.
