Overall Rationale: Weird week. Very weird week. Not just on the field, where FCS teams pulled upsets at unprecedented rates and plucky underdogs like Tulane and Florida State put the fear of God into top-ten teams, but also when it comes to data. ESPN left about a dozen games missing play-by-play data this week, which is more than in the past several years put together. The result is that a lot of teams, including some pretty important ones (USC and SJSU, for example) lack accurate data, or in some cases any data at all. (In some cases, we also don't know whether data is inaccurate. It's difficult to look at such a huge stack of numbers and find, say, a team where every play is marked as starting from the 35-yard line, for example.) Take these ratings with a grain of salt; hopefully things will resolve soon enough and we'll get the drive data sorted. For now, here's the TERSE Top 25.
