Overall Rationale: Based off of the algorithm I developed last year given the very strange season. Methodology here:├é┬áhttps://old.reddit.com/r/CFBAnalysis/comments/jfp3uk/2020_full_11000_rankings/I did not take a strict algorithmic ranking here, but do show their rating in the reason for each team. 3 teams that would not have made the top 25 normally but I've included anyway are: Cincinnati (the AAC is very weird right now and they're a great team), Notre Dame (FBS Independents are even weirder), and UTEP (one of just two 2-win teams, they deserve a rank!). This poll is fairly SEC heavy, because they're generally good teams. Some of that may filter out as the conference schedules progress.
