bobsled_time Ballot for 2019 Week 6

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 30, 2019, 9:51 a.m.

Rank Team Reason
Ohio State Buckeyes Shaking up the top of my rankings this week because I think we have enough data to reduce reliance on last season.  Ohio State has looked dominant (still waiting for them to hit the meat of their schedule though).
Georgia Bulldogs Also looking really good.  I wasn't as impressed with the Notre Dame win as I would have expected going in, but Georgia is still looking solid and gets the #2 for now.
Clemson Tigers Not an ideal showing on Saturday, but a win nonetheless.  UNC played a great game and might be a fringe top 25 team by the end of the season.  Still using a bit of 2018 to justify this ranking, but the pieces are all there and the team is still undefeated.
Alabama Crimson Tide There's serious upside to this ranking moving forward, but I feel like it's justified given how the teams at the top have looked.  1-7 are all interchangeable and the top teams will sort themselves out for the most part as the season progresses.
Oklahoma Sooners Cruising. Looking forward to the Texas game to see where Oklahoma really stands.
LSU Tigers Top tier until proven otherwise (i.e. need to beat Alabama).
Auburn Tigers Same as LSU.
Penn State Nittany Lions Drop off to tier 2 here.  Still in the hunt.
Wisconsin Badgers
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Iowa Hawkeyes
Florida Gators
Oregon Ducks
Texas Longhorns
Washington Huskies
Appalachian State Mountaineers
Wake Forest Demon Deacons
Boise State Broncos
Virginia Cavaliers Pleasantly surprised with the showing at Notre Dame, but still have to drop based on the result.  This is probably closer to where this team deserves to be realistically.
Utah Utes
UCF Knights
Michigan Wolverines
Oklahoma State Cowboys
SMU Mustangs Lots of G5 sliding into the lower half of this ranking.  Partially because it's hard to tell who is actually good in the middle of the P5 conferences and partially because these G5 teams are looking much improved this year (in addition to UCF and App, who I've had in since Week 1).
Memphis Tigers
