Overall Rationale: This is the point in the season when rankings are very hard. You have a number of 1-2 loss teams with very similar resumes from which the transitive property can make circles. There are teams with back loaded schedules whose record is better than some better with front loaded schedules. Over the course of the season my poll goes from expectation-based to resume-based, with the transition period depending a lot on the "eye test" in addition to resumes. This is one of the weeks where the "eye test" plays a big part in my poll. So if you are wondering "why is Team A ranked this low when they have the same record with a better win that Team B?!?!?" the answer is probably simply that I think one team is better than the other. It will work itself out in the next few weeks.
