noahthearc Ballot for 2018 Week 6

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 30, 2018, 1:22 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Dropping Out: BYU, Duke, California, Mississippi State, Texas TechNext Two Teams: Virginia Tech, Oklahoma State

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide No Change.
Georgia Bulldogs No Change.
LSU Tigers +1 spot. LSU dominated Ole Miss and still holds perhaps the best resume in the nation.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish +1 spot. The Irish keep getting better and are following LSU very closely.
Ohio State Buckeyes +2 spots. Ohio State gets a marque, comeback victory in the White Out of Happy Valley. Their path to the playoffs are solely in the hands.
Kentucky Wildcats +6 spots. Kentucky may not end up being a playoff challenger, but their resume says they should be.
West Virginia Mountaineers +2 spots. West Virginia let off the gas in the second half in Lubbock, but they've looked up to the hype and certainly the most able challenger to Oklahoma's Big 12 throne.
Oklahoma Sooners +2 spots. Oklahoma's offense hasn't missed a beat this year. The only question is if their defense can handle the workload.
Clemson Tigers -6 spots. Clemson got the win at the end of the day, but they showed they have a lot of improvement to go until they can feasibly challenge the top dogs.
Auburn Tigers +1 spot. Auburn won an awkward game and benefits from losses in front of them.
Washington Huskies +2 spots. The Huskies showed Wisconsin how to handle a BYU team at home. They continue to climb back up as they reenter Pac-12 play.
UCF Knights +2 spots. The Knights put in their resume for the ACC as they destroyed Pitt. They have 7 AAC games to handle and then maybe they can get their spot in the playoffs.
Stanford Cardinal -7 spots. Never easy to lose, let alone lose a rivalry game, but the Cardinal will refocus for Utah next week.
Penn State Nittany Lions -6 spots. Penn State will have a sour taste in their mouth after their loss to the Buckeyes. Their season isn't over and they have Michigan State coming next.
Miami Hurricanes +1 spot. The Canes keep climbing on the back of an easy romping of UNC on Thursday. It's rivalry week as Florida State heads to Doak South.
Wisconsin Badgers +2 spots. Advantages of having a bye week while others play big games.
Colorado Buffaloes +3 spots. Hard to tell if the Buffs are good enough for this ranking, but they haven't lost where others have.
NC State Wolfpack +3 spots. NC State has done even less than Colorado, but hey they still have that 0 in the loss column.
Michigan Wolverines +3 spots. They won.
Oregon Ducks Debut Ranking. Oregon cruised in Berkeley on the back of defensive TDs.
Texas Longhorns +4 spots. The Longhorns held off K-State last week to earn a better ranking before the Red River Rivalry.
Florida Gators Debut Ranking. The Gators surprised the Bulldogs in a low scoring affair last week. Next up: LSU in the Swamp.
Cincinnati Bearcats Returning. Cincinnati moves back into the rankings as they improve to 5-0.
USF Bulls Returning. USF follows the Bearcats back into the rankings.
Syracuse Orange Debut Ranking. They lost? Still felt like a victory in Death Valley.
