2 Clemson Tigers If this were a "resume ranking", Clemson would jumped Oklahoma for the top spot. Impressive list of wins so far for the Tigers.
3 Alabama Crimson Tide Alabama only fails to move up because of Clemson's strong performance against VT. A close Tigers win would have seen the Crimson Tide at #2.
4 Georgia Bulldogs Georgia jumps Washington, Penn State, and OSU after huge win over Tennessee.
5 Washington Huskies
6 Penn State Nittany Lions
7 Ohio State Buckeyes
8 Wisconsin Badgers
9 TCU Horned Frogs
10 Auburn Tigers Auburn jumps Wash St. and Michigan after big win over Miss St.
11 Michigan Wolverines
12 Washington State Cougars Washington State stays at #12 after 3-point home win over a USC team I "only" had ranked at #10 last week. With home field advantage, a 3-point win was the expected result for the Cougars while Auburn exceeded expectations.
13 USC Trojans USC only falls from #10 to #13 because, as I said above, a 3-point loss was actually just about the expected result based on home field and last week's rankings.
14 Virginia Tech Hokies VPI only falls one slot despite a 14-point loss. That's because they gained more yards and first downs than the #2 team in the nation. Disappointing result but realistically it was an encouraging performance for the Hokies.

21 Oregon Ducks Oregon with an impressive MOV against Cal. Possibly their best performance of the season and enough to leapfrog NC State.
22 NC State Wolfpack Underwhelming performance against Syracuse leads to leapfrogging by Ducks.

24 James Madison Dukes JMU continues to slip after another shaky performance. Could drop out of my rankings if the bubble gets any stronger.
25 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Miss. St. and Texas are higher in FPI but I'm going to reward Georgia Tech for a couple consecutive blowout victories in conference play. This isn't a "resume" ranking but performance matters.
