Overall Rationale: This is an entirely resume-based poll; it sums up the value of each win and loss according to the strength of the opponent, with an adjustment for one-score games and home vs road. Opponent strength, instead of being ranked ordinally, is instead simply clustered into one of five groups, with (roughly speaking) 5s as playoff contenders and 1s as cupcakes. This is done with the help of S&P+ and the Sagarin rankings (to include FCS teams) and adjusted by my personal eyetest ... right now it's about half and half, but it'll move to almost entirely the eyetest by the end of the season.
