TheFlyingBoat Ballot for 2016 Week 3

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 11, 2016, 3:43 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Top 9 stay static after no real reason to change them based on what I saw on the field, so no team specific reasoning will be given for them. A lot of others moved up due to others falling and as such have no reasoning either. OkSt and UCLA drop out after poor performances against their respective arguments. Oregon doesn't make it in like the other polls think they should after a poor performance against UC Davis and Virginia.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide
Florida State Seminoles
Clemson Tigers
Stanford Cardinal
Houston Cougars
Ohio State Buckeyes
Michigan Wolverines
Michigan State Spartans
Washington Huskies
Texas Longhorns Played well against UTEP, and moves up due to Georgia and TCU falling.
Louisville Cardinals Lamar Jackson is the truth. I don't put them above Texas due to their SoS thus far being weak and making me a little unsure of how they will fare against stronger opponents. Their game against Florida State will answer these questions and could result in a large jump.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Oklahoma Sooners
Wisconsin Badgers
Ole Miss Rebels
Texas A&M Aggies
Iowa Hawkeyes They beat a weak Iowa St side convincingly. As they enter conference schedule, I'll be willing to bump them up as they pick up solid victories against strong teams.
Tennessee Volunteers
Georgia Bulldogs Georgia was godawful in their 26-24 victory.
Baylor Bears
Utah Utes Could have played better against BYU, but I still think they earn a slot in the poll as they a pick up a respectable win.
TCU Horned Frogs I gave them the benefit of the doubt that with a loss I can no longer give. I am sure Patterson will fix things by the end of the season, but until then the bottom of the poll is where he lives.
LSU Tigers
Arkansas Razorbacks
Florida Gators They beat two weak sides thus far, but at least unlike Oregon, they beat them both comfortably.
