By most metrics computer rankings they were somewhere around the 7th-8th ranked team (and my personal computer poll had them 3rd before last night). However, they really don't pass the eye test to me. I've thought this most of the season and my past rankings have shown it. I think if they didn't look pathetic the entire game after their first drive yesterday they'd be a 100% lock, but they got destroyed in their biggest game of the season twice.

_THE__BOULDER_	12	BYU also got bounced in their CCG. I had them ranked #9 last week, which was because they were a 1-loss team with a loss to TTU and wins over Utah and Arizona, and I've dropped them down to #12 after this CCG loss. Some people might take issue with the fact that I dropped them 3 spots and Alabama only 1, but I do feel Alabama's wins this season are stronger than BYU's and, call me biased, but Alabama has a similar SOR to BYU but a significantly higher SOS, so I'm giving the edge to Alabama here.

LightningDusty	14	↓6 I'm sorry. I was beating the BYU drum for a good bit there, but there's no excuse for getting ran off the field by the same team twice. Play a competitive game and I honest to God have BYU holding firm at #8, MAYBE dropping to #9 at worst. Unfortunately, that performance was plain and simply bad. Also, I know these punishments for the Big 12 and SEC CCG losers seems harsh, but trust me, the rewards would've been plentiful if either of them won. I'm talking BYU would've been the #3 seed, effectively taking TTU's current spot, and Alabama would've been the #4 seed. Conference championship games are still part of your resumé at the end of the day. It is what it is. If the bubble were as weak as last season, both of them would still be in.
