Indiana has a huge victory this week. Their wins over Illinois |Tier 3|, Iowa |4|, and Oregon |3| looking the best out of anyone right now. Their opponent win percentage of 71% is also incredibly high, the 2nd highest of any ranked team. |

Undefeated with the best win of the season. Traveling that far to play that team in that stadium and kinda whooping them? That’s not an accident. Add two above average wins (@Iowa which has definitely caught people sleeping in Kinnick before & Illinois) and that’s the top resume to me.

I can't believe I'm doing this but Indiana definitely deserves the #1 spot this week. I'm not completely sure still how good Oregon and Illinois are but I tasked Indiana with winning the few important games on their schedule and they have. They've done it more convincingly than some of their peers too. I think if Miami's opponents had continued to do well (Florida, FSU) then they'd still be #1, though. |

Illinois, Iowa, and Oregon. Those are some solid wins. One of the most impressive resumes at this point in the season. I still think Miami holds the edge over the Hoosiers, but they seem to have an easier road from here onwards. Maryland may be the most difficult remaining game after Penn State imploded. |

Indiana has a solid argument for the top spot but I just thought Ohio State's resume was a little deeper. Very nice wins over Oregon (5-1), Illinois (5-2, defeated USC), and Iowa (4-2) |

I don't think I've ever been more right about anything than I have been about projecting Indiana in the preseason and the first few weeks. Actually, they have been so good I feel like I've been underrating them. |

Last year was no fluke but a first step. If there's any doubt about the Cignetti era at Indiana, walking into Autzen Stadium and winning should silence it. |

One thing I would want to address, I’ve seen Oregon parlayed into “best win” territory by some posters. I don’t think it’s a better win than Notre Dame which is why they’re fourth.
Oregon lacks a top 50 win and their marquee point was Penn State who was quickly collapsing. At this stage I wouldn’t be shocked to see them drop to UW/USC at years end because they just seem young at multiple spots across the board. |
