I didn't ding Ole Miss too hard last week because I think Kentucky is a quality football program. As a matter of fact, Kentucky is good enough to win the Big XII or the ACC, but they are perpetually stuck being a mid-tier SEC school. Ole Miss rebounded this week and we will see where things end up at the end of the season. |

I think their ceiling is 2nd round of the playoff but still solid. A win over what I believe is a good South Carolina team is definitely a good bounce back |

Still don't really have any marquee wins, but their nice showing against South Carolina plus a ton of chaos right above them allows the Rebels to fill the vacuum and take a shaky #10. Now comes a matchup against an LSU team that's still trying to find a marquee win themselves, so both of these teams could really use this win to bolster their resume and keep pace in the SEC race. |

The rebs won but, that expensive offense didn't look like it is fully firing. I still think they are trying to pad Dart's stats and were obviously trying to force Juice Wells the ball which was very obvious against SC. The talent is there but, we will see with a night game in Baton Rouge where they have no reason being favored. |

I think many have them overrated. Their loss to an unranked Kentucky team is just not good. If you compare the losses to other teams, at least many of them have lost to a ranked opponent and/or have wins against ranked opponents. Ole Miss has neither. Sure they play LSU this week, but I expect whoever loses that game is out of my Top 25 anyway, and the following week is Oklahoma who I also do not expect to be ranked for much longer. Ole Miss is quite possibly going to have the easiest schedule in the SEC this year and that loss to Kentucky is going to be an anchor weighing them down all season. SEC bias keeps them relevant. |
