2 Miami Hurricanes Someone had to lose in the Natty. Fuck Miami.
3 Ole Miss Rebels The best SEC team. Performed exceptionally well.
4 Ohio State Buckeyes After comparison direct with BYU, Texas Tech and Oregon, I think they are the second best in the B1G.
5 Oregon Ducks Wildly variable. Third best in B1G.
6 Texas Tech Red Raiders Maybe don't be scoreless against Oregon?
7 BYU Cougars Maybe show a performance against Texas Tech?
8 Utah Utes ...
9 Georgia Bulldogs First controversial pick. I feel like the lowest anyone else would put them is 6. I compared and believe that even the Utes would beat Georgia. This surprised me, but honestly the team wasn't very dominant all season and their fluke over Ole Miss was undone.
10 Texas Longhorns See Oregon for wildly variable. Our first three loss.
11 Iowa State Cyclones Our first four loss! Probably won't be ranking them again for quite awhile :( (The P4 4-loss battle was insane to tier rank)
12 TCU Horned Frogs Suck it USC.
13 Connecticut Huskies Everything below here is exactly as the model found it. Lower teams (even below the Top 25!) could be way higher, pushing these down. I stand with 1-12, but anything else is whatever the model spit out. I do think UConn would be challenged to oblivion. u/sirgippy please grant an extension for lack of poll reminder!
14 Tulane Green Wave Couldn't answer #3 either time. Best in the American.
15 North Texas Mean Green Couldn't answer Tulane.
16 ECU Pirates A very solid team, though maybe not this solid? If I had more time I would love to see how it would respond to challenges.
17 Alabama Crimson Tide Overrated. Terrible. I stand by this ranking I guess as I don't think they did anything of relevance (Oklahoma wasn't even close to ranked here). Though different teams probably should be in front, I think #17 seems good.
18 James Madison Dukes Solid showing against #5. Kept real Duke (#43) out of the playoffs. Kind of. Still proud of our boys, and our late season success. Obligatory fuck Miami.
19 Texas State Bobcats This one I don't stand by at all. I do not think the Bobcats should be ranked. Probably would be challenged out.
20 Old Dominion Monarchs I do think ODU has a case though!
21 Texas A&M Aggies Lol. Lmao.
22 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Cowards. If only there was a way for them to catapult up to even #7...
23 Navy Midshipmen Lost to Notre Dame, but very solid with only losses to #15 and #22.
24 Army West Point WTF. Would be challenged to hell if I could.
25 Houston Cougars Very good season for Fritz. Next 5: UVA, Pitt, Vandy, WMU, Ohio. Omissions: Oklahoma (#37), Iowa (#41)*, USC (#40)*, Michigan (#42)*. *Washington, Illinois, USC, Iowa and Michigan all are caught in a Circle of Suck that via Michigan places them below Oklahoma. Would resolve with full challenges, but again I couldn't even get past #13 with the time I had.
