Overall Rationale: There are no preseason rankings. Every team in the FBS starts the season with 0 points. After a game is played, the following points are calculated: - The winner gets +100 points, while the loser will get -100 points - If the opponent is an FCS team, the margin of victory is halved and added to the team's total points - If the opponent is an FBS team, take the opponent's record and multiply it by 100. Add this to the team's total points - Take the opponent's record again and multiply it by the margin of victory. Add this to the team's total points - Go back and recheck on all past opponents for each team that season If a past opponent was an FCS team, skip them If your past opponent was an FBS team, check their record up to the current week, minus the game against the current team. Multiply that record by 50 Multiply the record again by the MOV of that game again, then multiply that by 0.25.
