Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Jan. 20, 2026, 11:31 a.m.

Rank Team Reason
Indiana Hoosiers
Miami Hurricanes
Ole Miss Rebels Best performance in the semis against Miami
Oregon Ducks Won the quarters, bad against IU
Georgia Bulldogs Lost the quarters the best
Ohio State Buckeyes Second-most respectable quarters performance
Texas Tech Red Raiders Embarrassed later than A&M
Texas A&M Aggies Good showing against Miami (despite only scoring 3)
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Deserved to be in over Bama, which was proven by the Tide's performance in the CFP. Playing the games they did hurt Bama, and ND was idle (which is infuriating but shouldn't affect the poll)
Alabama Crimson Tide Beat the Sooners. Embarrassed in Pasadena
Oklahoma Sooners Somehow blew the Bama game
Texas Longhorns Dominant bowl win keeps them high
Iowa Hawkeyes Best 9-4 team in the country, knocking off Vandy is an excellent win
BYU Cougars Nice finish against GT. Jumped only bc GT isn't as good of an opponent
Utah Utes Lost handily to BYU but took care of business against Nebraska
Tulane Green Wave Run ended against #3. Unsurprising
James Madison Dukes Ran up the score on Oregon in a loss, something few others could do
Vanderbilt Commodores Losing to Iowa hurts them, but Iowa is clearly better than they were credited for
Virginia Cavaliers Ugly bowl win against a good team keeps them relatively stable
USC Trojans TCU did the thing it does against them. Not horrible, not great
Michigan Wolverines Lost to Texas but kept it closer than the score suggests. Have to fall a few places, though
Navy Midshipmen Cincy wasn't really Cincy, but Navy's win was appropriately solid
North Texas Mean Green Not a great win against SDSU, but it was a fun game, and it was a win
Houston Cougars Beating even this LSU team is enough to jump into the rankings as other ranked teams (*cough* GT) lost
TCU Horned Frogs Knocking off USC? That'll get you ranked
