National-Sundae9427 Ballot for 2025 Week 16 & Bowls

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Dec. 8, 2025, 5:46 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Slight movements based on CCG's but everyone else stays put. 1st Round: #5 Oregon - #12 James Madison #6 Ole Miss - #11 Tulane #7 Texas A&M - #10 Oklahoma #8 Notre Dame - #9 Miami Quarter-Finals: #1 Indiana - #8 Notre Dame #2 Ohio State - #10 Oklahoma #3 Georgia - #6 Ole Miss #4 Texas Tech - #5 Oregon Semi-Finals: #2 Ohio State - #3 Georgia #5 Oregon - #8 Notre Dame Finals: #2 Ohio State - #5 Oregon Champion: #2 Ohio State

Rank Team Reason
Indiana Hoosiers #1 plays #2 and #2 wins. #2 becomes #1. That simple. Will play the winner of the Notre Dame - Miami matchup.
Ohio State Buckeyes To me they are still the most talented team in the country, but you can't stay at #1 if you lose to the team right behind you. Will play the winner of the Texas A&M - BYU matchup.
Georgia Bulldogs As convincing of a win as possible. They stifled Bama's offense all game. There's no question they are one of the favorites to win the championship. Will play the winner of the Ole Miss - Tulane matchup.
Texas Tech Red Raiders Just like Georgia, they completely blew the doors off BYU. Not a second went by in that game where you though BYU was going to gain some momentum. Will play the winner of the Oregon - James Madison matchup
Oregon Ducks Didn't play so they stay put. Would end up playing James Madison in the CFP 1st Round at home, with a future game against Texas Tech.
Ole Miss Rebels I thought long and hard about moving them back a spot knowing that Lane won't be there. Missing him will impact this team, but I don't think it's enough to warrant them to drop yet. We haven't seen them play yet. They would play Tulane again at home with a future game against Georgia.
Texas A&M Aggies Didn't play so they stay put. They will play BYU at home, win and they will end up playing Ohio State.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Didn't play so they stay put. Awesome rematch between them and Miami, but this time at home in December. Win and they end up playing Indiana.
Miami Hurricanes Didn't play so they stay put. Awesome rematch between them and Notre Dame, but this time on the road. Win and they end up playing Indiana.
Oklahoma Sooners They needed an Alabama loss and Texas Tech to blow out BYU, and that is exactly what happened. A matchup against Texas A&M on the road, a win will put them into the quarterfinals against Ohio State.
BYU Cougars They lost convincingly to Texas Tech. The reason why I moved them 2 spots instead of one is because of how bad they lost. It wasn't even close. Texas Tech was clearly the better team. BYU had a good season, but with how they played, they do not look like a playoff team.
Vanderbilt Commodores Didn't play so they stay put.
Alabama Crimson Tide Similar to BYU, Georgia made them look like second class citizens. It wasn't even close. They needed to win to get into the field.
Utah Utes Didn't play so they stay put.
Tulane Green Wave I had James Madison ranked above them last week. However, they add a Top 25 win to their resume with the win over North Texas, so that was enough for me to place them into the role of the top G5 school.
James Madison Dukes See Tulane's reasoning.
Texas Longhorns Benefitted from North Texas and Virginia both losing.
USC Trojans Benefitted from North Texas and Virginia both losing.
Michigan Wolverines Benefitted from North Texas and Virginia both losing.
North Texas Mean Green Lost to Tulane. Dropped a few spots behind the 3-loss P4 teams.
Virginia Cavaliers Lost a close one to Duke. But it was a 7-5 Duke team. Unacceptable.
Navy Midshipmen Didn't play so they stay put.
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Didn't play so they stay put.
Arizona Wildcats Didn't play so they stay put.
Boise State Broncos Won the Mountain West. So they get in over New Mexico, who I had here last week.
