Overall Rationale: I have always been a staunch believer of "you can only play who is across the field from you." and I do not believe in using strength of schedule nearly as rigidly as the rest of the college football community. Those advanced metrics exist entirely to quantify the the subjective opinions of the talking heads and highly imprecise recruiting rankings in order to entrench advantages for the brands with the largest followings and highest rated recruiting classes at the end of the season. I do not care for holding the conference a team plays in against them. Strength of Schedule and other metrics may have their place in telling a more complete story of the season, but the way in which they are used by the powerbrokers and fans of the top level of the sport to wash away their teams' failures at the expense of other more deserving teams is simply gross. This is not an attempt to troll or stand out on the "most unusual list" but rather my honest feelings after reflecting on the season with teams' complete bodies of work in front of me.
