Overall Rationale: I cannot imagine being the committee this year. If there was ever a year for more slots, it was this one. Three tiers in my mind - The locks, the autobids, and the two loss teams. Locks (6): Ohio State, Indiana, Oregon, Texas A&M, Georgia, Ole Miss. Autos: BYU/Texas Tech, two from the ACC/G5 (Assume North Texas and Virginia for the sake of argument). That leaves 3 spots (If Alabama beats Georgia, 2 spots) for the following: Loser of BYU/TT, Notre Dame, Miami, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt, Utah, Alabama (if applicable). My eyes say Notre Dame and Miami quite obviously, especially on recent form, and to not punish them for playing each other. But the resume / strength of record is always going to favor the SEC, and I don't see a scenario where Oklahoma or Alabama are left out. I could even see them squeezing in Texas over Miami. Hate that it's down to this, results have to matter, and I think teams like Vandy or BYU were fighting an impossible battle from the beginning. Dropped out: Tennessee (17), Arizona State (21), SMU (24). New this week: Navy (23), Houston (24), USF (25). Next few out: Iowa, Tennessee, Missouri, Illinois, Georgia Tech, Washington, UNLV
