Tarmacked Ballot for 2025 Week 13

Ballot Type: Hybrid

Submitted: Nov. 16, 2025, 6:16 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Sargarin/SOR/SOR and other metrics in conclusion with the eye test

Rank Team Reason
Texas A&M Aggies Heavily favor SOR and the Indiana win over Oregon
Ohio State Buckeyes Think they're the better team than Indiana upfront, not huge on their wins but with no losses I can't justify common opponent to have Georgia jump them
Georgia Bulldogs SOR of 4 to Indiana 3, but realistically they've played a gauntlet schedule and look far better than Indiana
Indiana Hoosiers The Oregon win just gets further muddied. They're both riding high off Iowa, I just don't get it with the SOS.
Ole Miss Rebels Had their own struggles, so I can't say for certain i'd put them above Indiana despite the wins
Oklahoma Sooners Straightforward - Gauntlet schedule but I have to reward them.
Alabama Crimson Tide See below
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Ultimately the wins by Alabama here pull Notre Dame to third in the pack. I think SOS of 4 for Alabama outpaces SOS of 26 for Notre Dame, and the wins offset the FSU loss.
Texas Tech Red Raiders SOS is the killer here for me. I think i'll have a major shuffle post CCG because I just need more datapoints on the top end. You could make an argument for margin of victory but I have never liked that argument and the past has shown it's unreliable.
Oregon Ducks See Indiana comment on Iowa
BYU Cougars Some close games against middling opponents have nailed them down for me. That being said, I didn't come out of Tech being overly impressed with them.
Vanderbilt Commodores Tennessee is a make or break here. I feel overly high on them, but Lea's system works with Pavia and he can prove me wrong.
USC Trojans Win over Iowa. When I grade them around Michigan/Miami/Utah, I feel that Michigan is the "better" team of those three and USC has the head to head so i'll reward it.
Michigan Wolverines Northwestern was ugly, but a sloppy turnover day does that for you (*Cries in Alabama*). I'm still pretty high on their overall team despite the youth at QB.
Miami Hurricanes I just think Michigan has more discipline and reliability.
Utah Utes Wheels are back on the bus, but the potholes have me lagging on them.
Tennessee Volunteers Their schedule doesn't give me a middle ground, but from what i've seen in their losses I think they're a mid teens team. I would put them over Texas, Mizzou Georgia Tech, SMU, and Virginia.
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Every week is a struggle game. This is a disrespect to their record but I just don't get the allure
Texas Longhorns The OU win is pulling a good chunk of weight here
Missouri Tigers Miss State has had some fight in them all year with the ASU win, tough loss to Tennessee, etc. I'll reward the win over MSU.
SMU Mustangs Unchanged in opinion from last week.
Virginia Cavaliers Duke win wasn't close, but I don't know if that solves my trepidation on them similar to Tech
James Madison Dukes At this stage, I think its reasonable to put them here given how they're handling opponents and their record. They're my first slot in for a G5 playoff spot.
Louisville Cardinals Clemson has talent, can't deny it, but Louisville loves to just come up short when i've been high on them all season
Washington Huskies Honestly, who even knows between Illinois, Cinci, UW, and a handful of others. Running off Sagarin/SOR here to bank it.
