Overall Rationale: Attempting to be reasonably objective with resumes where possible, using Colley matrix as a tiebreaking aid when I really have no idea

1 Ohio State Buckeyes EVEN. Something something this team is very good yet hasn't really needed to go all out in games yet.
2 Indiana Hoosiers EVEN. I mean, they beat Wisconsin 31-7, what else can I say?
3 Texas A&M Aggies EVEN. Before this week I was considering bumping A&M up due to the Colley Matrix and how increasingly good that Notre Dame win looks. Then they did that against South Carolina. I will admit if it was just the second half, this team is #1. That and the top 3 could reasonably be arranged in any order right now.
4 Texas Tech Red Raiders +1. Still has 3 ranked wins and more importantly every game has basically been a blowout asides from Arizona State, which even then isn't that bad of a loss.
5 Georgia Bulldogs +1. Overall resume ignoring margin of victory is basically equal or possibly better than Texas Tech.
6 Ole Miss Rebels +1. H2H against Georgia makes this logical.
7 BYU Cougars +1. I was considering dropping them below some 2 loss teams, but given that they blew out TCU, and the Utah win is still strong, I feel they are deserving of this spot while they are still a 1 loss team.
8 Oklahoma Sooners +9. Welcome to the beating Alabama bump. That and Michigan is a ranked win. Tennessee might also be as well.
9 Alabama Crimson Tide -5. They still get a lot of credit for their wins, but Oklahoma actually has a similar top 3 win list and the H2H.
10 Notre Dame Fighting Irish +3. Well look at that, they're actually in the playoff picture now! Crushing Pitt and Navy being a possible G5 contender does that.
11 Oregon Ducks -2. Unfortunately, Iowa lost and now they're back in the position of being an 1 loss team with no really solid wins to show for it. The good news is that they get to play USC next week to shut me up again.
12 Utah Utes -1. More due to Cincinnati being unranked and compared to the other teams above them, they have a weaker argument for being able to keep up (mostly the Texas Tech game). That and as Mickey Mouse Oregon's schedule has been, it seems cruel to drop them even behind even more two loss teams.
13 USC Trojans +3. Probably the quietest 8-2 team I've seen in having a solid resume.
14 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets -4. You nearly lost to 1 win Boston College. Your best win is 7-3 Wake Forest, followed by 5-5 Duke and Clemson, with only the Duke game out of those 3 being decided by more than 3 points. The positive is that I have more confidence in you to somehow reach the ACC championship than the next team.
15 Miami Hurricanes -3. You have 2 losses and are suspect enough that I can't really justify placing you above Georgia Tech.
16 Virginia Cavaliers +2. Benefits partially from their win against Duke and partially from other teams imploding.
17 Vanderbilt Commodores +2. Enjoyed a relaxing bye week.
18 North Texas Mean Green +4. Currently favoured as the G5 champion, mostly since the American is disturbingly close to the ACC in conference strength.
19 James Madison Dukes +2. Blew out App State. At this point if the ACC keeps self destructing I may seriously consider putting 2 G5 champions in a hypothetical bracket.
20 Michigan Wolverines +3. Would be in front of the G5 schools if they actually won convincingly.
21 Houston Cougars +3. On bye week, but this is what happens when a bunch of teams get their 3rd loss.
22 Louisville Cardinals -8. Are you trying to copy Notre Dame's quality loss strategy?
23 Texas Longhorns -8. I weight a blatant loss against a top 5 team roughly the same as a close loss to a 5-5 ACC team.
24 Illinois Fighting Illini (+2) At this point I am clearly running out of teams to place so I went with the idea of "if you are in HM and actually had a reasonably solid win, you get ranked". ASU barely beat West Virginia, but Illinois at least beat Maryland convincingly. Now as for the next spot...
25 Missouri Tigers (+10) Nebraska was on bye, Tulane was not convincing enough against FAU (although with how scuffed this was, I seriously considered this), Iowa lost, Tennessee bullied a FCS school, Memphis lost, USF lost, and SMU was on bye. Thus Missouri wins the #25 sweepstakes and will probably be rewarded by being booted out almost immediately given that they play Oklahoma next week. HM in order: Arizona State, Arizona, Tulane, Nebraska, Tennessee, Cincinnati, Navy, Wake Forest, SMU, San Diego State
