Overall Rationale: Strength of wins mostly with some eye test. I believe winning is most important thing, and consistently doing so by week 9 is impressive.

1 Ohio State Buckeyes Most dominant in the country by far. Their defense is amazing.
2 Indiana Hoosiers Cignetti gets the job done. has them boys playing like devils
3 Texas A&M Aggies Undefeated. Currently beat ND and some other poor teams but they haven't lost!
4 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Haynes is a king. Until proven otherwise they're top 5. if georgia beats them they'll drop enough, but they're playing with heart.
5 Alabama Crimson Tide Other than week 1 mishap they look second best to OSU, but resume has to matter. That's why it's so hard to be undefeated in week 9. you've gotta play good enough in every week, and bama didn't in week 1.
6 Oregon Ducks Caught lolligagging with curt cignetti at home, but every other game has looked dominant. I think that was a wake up call. Just like bama - they show why it's so hard to be undefeated and why that needs to be rewarded.
7 BYU Cougars Undefeated. Beat Utah and all the haters.
8 Miami Hurricanes Same as bama. beck just had the worst game of his career and it was close. but you gotta win every week....
9 Georgia Bulldogs They had their first impressive win against ole miss. I don't consider tennessee impressive. They've lost to every +.500 team they've played. Hence why they're not here.
10 Ole Miss Rebels Electric offense, but no defense. They'll get beat by every other top 10 team, but they'd out-firepower most others. Also just a single loss to georgia.
11 Texas Tech Red Raiders Like bama. what was that performance?? can't be playing like that. i expect they'll return and go on a tear though.
12 Vanderbilt Commodores they deserve to be here just based on their heart.
13 Louisville Cardinals played amazing. Beat Miami. Not above them just because they needed a TON of help to beat them. This goes against my own ranking system but that's why i'm a human i guess.
14 Virginia Cavaliers They're playing really good football. I wanna see them in the ACC championship vs georgia tech
15 USF Bulls A few nice wins at the start of the season and since then playing their tails off.
16 Oklahoma Sooners Not great performances recently, but their star QB is not 100. That defense is legit. This is roughly where every team below has faults
17 Notre Dame Fighting Irish I still don't love ND. USC played like shit in south bend and still kept it close. we've seen in the B1G how the conference travel affects the teams, and I just don't see ND being better than any of the teams above them. Close losses mean nothing to me, they still lost.
18 Cincinnati Bearcats Love their style of play and heart but they just don't have the talent to match up
19 Navy Midshipmen Tentatively here. They're looking good for an academy, but they can't keep up with the schools that have NIL.
20 Tulane Green Wave Outperforming their talent and that deserves to be here.
21 North Texas Mean Green same as tulane
22 USC Trojans They showed heart. I think they're a very good football team and will continue to improve. They're above michigan only because they beat them last week
23 Michigan Wolverines This team looked like a top 10 team this week at home. when the defense doesn't blitz 50% of the time they play really good. The players are all freshmen or red-shirt and as such have a big ramp up between weeks. I think if they can sort out wrinkles they're at top 15 team when they meet OSU.
24 Illinois Fighting Illini Still a good looking offense, but defense is meh
25 Washington Huskies Time-zone issues caused 3 interceptions to one of the best QB's and offenses in the B1G. Without those 3 interceptions they beat the wolverines at home. shoulda woulda coulda, still lost. Hence why they're behind them.
