SufferingfOrLife Ballot for 2025 Week 9

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Oct. 19, 2025, 12:22 p.m.

Overall Rationale: You know, it was a really strange week for ranking teams because many teams lost two games, but I didn't think they deserved to drop since there aren't any truly good one-loss teams left. Anyway, here are the teams being dropped and added to the poll. LSU 13 → UR Memphis 18 → UR Nebraska 25 → UR Notre Dame UR → 17 Cincinnati UR → 20 Arizona State UR → 24

Rank Team Reason
Ohio State Buckeyes - Same thing week after week
Indiana Hoosiers +1 Easy win over a lifeless Michigan State team.
Oregon Ducks +1 Ass-whooping down in Piscataway
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets +1 This team wins, what can I say.
Texas A&M Aggies +2 Struggled Defensively against Arkansas, but the offense showed up.
BYU Cougars +3 One score win in the Holy War, which is to be expected during a Holy War Game.
Oklahoma Sooners +3 Solid win over a struggling South Carolina team.
Ole Miss Rebels -2 Tough close loss against Georgia, where they had a horrendous defensive outing.
Alabama Crimson Tide +2 Stogie game victory as Bama has bounced back from their loss to a Florida State team that has turned out to be not so good.
Vanderbilt Commodores +10 Big time win over LSU as they continue their ascent
Georgia Bulldogs +1 Great win over a good Ole Miss team, but I still don't trust Georgia until they give me a full game of good play.
Texas Tech Red Raiders -4 Tough loss on the road as Will Hammond really struggled.
Louisville Cardinals +9 Hell yeah! I knew I had a reason to believe in this team, and here we are. I know this might be high, but who cares? I like this Louisville team.
Miami Hurricanes -12 Overreaction, I know, and probably too big of a drop, but I just wanted an excuse to rank Louisville this high and to put them ahead of Miami, so I will likely course correct in the coming weeks.
Missouri Tigers +2 Close win against Auburn, but a win is a win when so many teams now have two losses.
USF Bulls +7 nice win over FAU as they face Memphis, who lost to UAB, so it could have been a top 25 matchup.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish NEW, I pushed off ranking them, but at this point in the year, teams have two losses, and they are the best two-loss team. CJ Carr hasn't looked great, but that run game is potent.
Navy Midshipmen +6 Staying undefeated as they face a huge test in two weeks against Notre Dame.
Virginia Cavaliers +2 Narrow victory over scrappy Washington State, sealed by a game-winning safety.
Cincinnati Bearcats NEW dominated a lifeless Oklahoma State.
Tennessee Volunteers -7 Bad loss to Bama as they look to rebound against a weak Kentucky team.
USC Trojans -7 Pretty poor outing against Notre Dame, but I think that once they get their running backs healthy, they will be good.
Utah Utes -7 Loss to your bitter rivals in a close game you could have won is heartbreaking, especially with opportunities in the first half to score in a 3-point game.
Arizona State Sun Devils NEW Big time win to vault themselves back into the top 25.
Washington Huskies -6 Poor offensive performance against Michigan as Demond Williams struggled.
