Ballot Type: Human
Submitted: Oct. 20, 2025, 3:47 p.m.
Overall Rationale: Well idk lmao (think of this ballot as a soft reset given that since week 7 it's been getting harder and harder to justify some placements other than "well I had them at rank x this week, can't move them more than y places")

Back to being #1 until proven otherwise mainly off of an undefeated record against a fairly solid sos. Even though there isn't a ranked win there, the fact that this team has been pretty much in control with no real danger of losing this entire season is why they're still first, although Indiana has a very good argument to be here. I'm still sticking with Ohio State here off of their OOC schedule being more impressive. |

Pretty much at Ohio State tier in that they're here until proven otherwise. |

They're the last undefeated SEC team and Notre Dame is definitely a quality win. Placing them here is fair considering they just about escaped Arkansas who seem to be trying to do a "3-9 Nebraska" impression. |
4 |

Undefeated P4, and I have more confidence in this team than Georgia Tech on the basis that the Big 12 feels stronger than the ACC this year, especially in the mid pack. |
5 |

I still respect undefeated P4 when it's this far in the season. |

The Florida State loss is the only reason they're not #1 right now. Currently has pretty much torn up a whole bunch of the upper-tier SEC teams and actually look legit. At this point they are just hoping everyone above them loses or shows enough weakness in their games for me to favour them above undefeated P4. |

I was considering Georgia for this spot but Miami has wins against Notre Dame and USF (by a pretty blatant margin) that I hold more weight on compared to the Tennessee and Ol' Miss wins Georgia has. |
8 |

Logically has to be next given my arguments for Miami. |

SOS is dubious as their only ranked win is Houston (who is only here because I unofficially decided that any 1 loss P4 team is by default ranked unless there is a really good reason not to, in this case there isn't), but they do have a ranked win. The next few teams are also 1 loss teams but have additional issues (either wins that really should not be close, or not having a ranked win) |

After further review I've determined Vanderbilt is pretty similar to Texas Tech in that they've looked very strong in all wins, they have a ranked win even if LSU is here mainly because, well I'm not entirely sure, and I'd favour them against the 1 loss teams following. |

See Virginia logic, and it does help that the loss against Virginia was in OT. |
12 |
![]() |
Virginia beat Louisville, which beat Miami, which beat Notre Dame, who easily beat NC State, who beat Virginia. This ACC circle, and Washington State nearly pulling an upset is the reasoning for Louisville being in front. |
13 |

Concerningly has a resume that looks kinda similar to pre-collapse Penn State but I have more confidence in this team since they have looked legit and rolled over all teams in their wins, and Indiana has proven to actually be a juggernaut. |
14 |
![]() |
Last 1 loss team with a ranked win (LSU), and probably the team I have least confidence in of that group |
15 |
![]() |
Has an Oregon-like resume with a worse loss |
16 |
![]() |
Purely off wins they would be behind Oklahoma, but there is a quality loss to Alabama that gives me more confidence in this team than Oklahoma |
17 |
![]() |
Michigan is close to the top 25, but is offset by whatever that Texas game was |
18 |
![]() |
USC win finally gives them some actual logic based off wins as to why I can place them here, still feel like a team that is in "win out and you'll most likely make the playoffs" mode |
19 |

Hurt a bit by their loss no longer being to the #1 team. Feels similar to Notre Dame's situation except if they win out, they also get the American championship as an AQ, they'll just happen to be in around the rank 10 area. |

I have concerns over this team (mainly from the Texas Tech loss) but they are a 1 loss P4 with some decent wins. The rest of the teams on this list are 2 loss P4 teams that are not Notre Dame, and Navy. |

Alabama and Georgia > Vandy and Ol' Miss currently |

There is no reasonable way that only 3 Big 10 teams end up ranked here. Of the 5-2 teams they are the best option because their two losses are to #1 and #2, and USC is one of the 5-2 teams I compared them to. That and the Colley Matrix seems to fa.vour this team, so might as well |

If you're undefeated at this point still then you deserved to be ranked. Granted the SOS and SOR says otherwise, but I mean, 6-0. They deserve it. |

Mainly here on the merit of beating Texas Tech; Tennessee beat Miss State which explains this gap between the two teams, and the losses really make me wonder if this team should be ranked. But pretty much by process of elimination, I'm not sure who else could fit this spot. RV Positions: Tulane, Utah, Several 5-2 Big 10 teams, JMU |
