Lefunnymaymays4lief Ballot for 2025 Week 8

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Oct. 12, 2025, 4:11 a.m.

Overall Rationale: I only think like 3-4 teams are actually good

Rank Team Reason
Miami Hurricanes The Notre Dame and USF (and even UF to an extent) wins continue to age better and better every week. They remain #1 based solely on the dominant LOS play alone
Indiana Hoosiers Yes I’m ranking them higher than OSU. No I’m not crazy. Yes I still hate Cignetti. No that doesn’t mean I hate Ryan Day any less
Ohio State Buckeyes Feels weird to rank them lower than they were last but now they have a common opponent with IU, and IU literally just outmuscled Oregon on top of it. Doesn't make OSU any less legitimate
Texas A&M Aggies Based simply on the type of player Reed is + their remaining schedule they’re gonna slip up at one point imo, but their resume is simply the best in the SEC rn
Texas Tech Red Raiders Atp anything less than 12-1 is a disappointment for this team. Extremely dominant in a conference that hasn’t had that since the blue bloods exited
Ole Miss Rebels Escaping Wazzu isn’t the greatest look, especially now that they’re going to Athens next week. So naturally they’ll win by 2 possessions
Alabama Crimson Tide Alabama looks like they’ve finally fit into the post-Saban CFB world. They look very balanced in all phases, they just need to clean up little things and probably tweak the run D to a certain extent
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets They just can’t stop winning, and the Haynes bros just can’t stop running through a motherfucker’s face
Oregon Ducks Getting outmuscled by the historical doormat of the B1G doesn't exactly inspire confidence, and the PSU win is now practically worthless outside of the impressive comeback element, but I still believe in the talent of this team and they could very easily be 9-1 entering the final two contests against USC and Washington
Georgia Bulldogs Fucking hell and I thought the ACC refs hated Notre Dame. Auburn might have grounds to sue the SEC. Regardless, it’s a W in the W column and they welcome Ole Miss in a (presumably) top 10 showdown
Tennessee Volunteers Arky has a good offense and we all know about interim magic. I wouldn’t sweat this one too hard- oh Third Saturday’s next isn’t it… yeah nvm panicking is probably on the menu
Oklahoma Sooners Woof. All this hype and Texas fading quickly and this happens? Mateer probably needed another week but I’m not even sure that would’ve mattered. Schedule doesn’t get any easier either; I’d be very concerned if I were a Sooner fan
Notre Dame Fighting Irish CJ Carr had two straight B- games and still put up almost 500 yards on his own between those two games. If this defense is actually fixed… nope not gonna do it you can’t give me hope
BYU Cougars You escape #BXIIFraudWatch for now Cougs
Missouri Tigers You can take the QB out of Penn State but you can’t take the Penn State out of the QB. They still looked like a damn fine team, but several failures in clutch time is a bit disheartening
LSU Tigers Best win of the season, best O performance of the season, and I still think this team sucks noodles outside of a genuinely fantastic defense
Virginia Cavaliers Virginia might go 11-1 and not even play in the ACC title game. I love conference bloat 🔥🔥🔥
USC Trojans Unfortunately there were no giant meteor sightings last night, so their game against Michigan went as scheduled and they dominated outside of a couple oopsies. I genuinely have no idea how the ND-USC game is gonna go and all I know is I’m going to get mad several times
Nebraska Cornhuskers Nebraska won a one score game! Despite it being post-September Maryland I’m still impressed by it. They also kind of have to be here by default because of the Cinci W which may be one of the most underrated Ws of the season
USF Bulls American frontrunner as of today. Extremely dominant 2nd half against UNT, Bryum Brown is a baller
Cincinnati Bearcats Not pretty but the job got done. Oklahoma State is worse than most G5s but after that they get the full BXII gauntlet
Vanderbilt Commodores Vandy-LSU GameDay? ND-USC is really the only other game to go to since they did Vandy-Bama last week
Utah Utes So is Whittingham washed or not can he make up his mind please
Memphis Tigers My preseason pick for the G5 playoff spot took the week off, now prepares for the coolest named rivalry in the sport
Navy Midshipmen Very back and forth choice between them and Texas but Navy gers the nod simply by having not lost yet. Blake Horvath continues to be an absolute DAWG DROPPED: (14) Arizona State, (15) Illinois, (18) Michigan, (24) Iowa State HONORABLE MENTIONS: Texas, Washington, UNLV, Houston, Louisville
