Euphoric_Relative_13 Ballot for 2025 Week 7

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Oct. 5, 2025, 10:10 p.m.

Overall Rationale: I usually put something cool up here. I'm too mad or dismissive about college football to do so. I guess I'll add the update that usually, my 12-20 is very difficult to rank. This time, every rank after 15 was like Hell. I also may have forgotten to post this before the AP Poll was revealed, but this was made the night before.

Rank Team Reason
Ohio State Buckeyes The steamroller keeps rolling. I see no reason to demote them.
Miami Hurricanes An excellent win over their (maybe) biggest rivals in a game that looked much closer than it really was.
Oregon Ducks Bye week, College Gameday is coming up. Hoo boy.
Texas Tech Red Raiders There is no reason to demote Oklahoma or Indiana for beating Kent State 44-0 or having a bye. Texas Tech is just so good, I had to vault them up.
Oklahoma Sooners Good to know that without Mateer, they can still beat a team so bad that Google no longer puts their actual logo on their scoreboard(which is crazy, because I swear I remember them having their logo and everything. If I'm right, that's disrespectful as shit, but hilarious).
Indiana Hoosiers See Oregon
Ole Miss Rebels Bye week, they can stay right here.
Alabama Crimson Tide An excellent win over Vanderbilt (that still feels weird to say). This team feels much better than last year, and while they have an absolutely backbreaking schedule to end the year (4 ranked teams), I think Kalen has created a team that fits more to his system.
Texas A&M Aggies Great game over Mississippi State, and looking ahead at their schedule, they may have a very good chance to finish the season undefeated. I can hear the hundreds of thousands of Aggies screaming as their BAS begins to wring their necks, however.
Georgia Bulldogs See Ole Miss
LSU Tigers See Ole Miss
Missouri Tigers See Ole Miss
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets See Ole Miss
Tennessee Volunteers See Ole Miss (Wow, a lot of byes this week, huh?)
Michigan Wolverines Seeing that their only loss was a relatively close game against an Oklahoma that might be a top-five team in the country, I think they have more than deserved to move up.
Memphis Tigers Hey, Memphis is still really, really good! It felt odd not having them in the G5 driver's seat last year, glad they're back!
BYU Cougars "They haven't proven me wrong yet, but as soon as they do, I will immediately unrank them."
Vanderbilt Commodores Tough loss to Bama in Tuscaloosa. Realistically, they shouldn't be punished for their first loss being to a Bama that has clearly drastically improved since FSU
Virginia Cavaliers I was gonna rank either Louisville or UVA based on who won.
Florida State Seminoles I was gonna rank FSU behind Louisville or UVA based on who won. In all seriousness, tough loss against a team that could be considered #1 in the country.
Iowa State Cyclones Considering that they were expected to lose because of injuries, losing to a good Cincy team means they really should not be punished much for it.
North Texas Mean Green See Ole Miss
Utah Utes See Ole Miss
Nebraska Cornhuskers Hey, Nebraska's here! I was going to bring Cincy into the fold, but I figured the team that beat them and whose only loss was a one-score one to Michigan should be here.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish This sucks. This is the worst part of all the upsets: Notre Dame is ranked again based on admittedly good-looking quality losses. Unfortunately, this is a good football team, and I think by this point, their resume is good enough to bring them back.
