1 Ohio State Buckeyes Week off before a trip to Seattle. While I recognize that in a vacuum other teams have better resumes I feel strongly about giving deference to defending champions until I see a lot more of the season.
2 Miami Hurricanes Nice win yay good for you. No sour grapes at all from this Gator fan. In all seriousness, a strong and very talented unit and it does feel like the sky is the limit.
3 Georgia Bulldogs Solid week off before a chance at revenge against Bama which will tell us a lot about both teams.
4 Florida State Seminoles Took care of business in non-conference. Hopefully they don't look ahead to Miami and accidentally throwback to 1995 in Charlottesville.
5 Texas Tech Red Raiders Went on the road to a tough road environment against a solid Utah team and relied on their backup and blew them out. I was skeptical of the hype I saw given to Texas Tech preseason, safe to say I'm a believer now. It's still September, but the Big 12 is theirs to lose.
6 Texas A&M Aggies Week off before we find out more about them against Auburn.
7 LSU Tigers Moved them down since that win against Clemson is less impressive, kept them higher since winning in Death Valley is still more impressive than the teams behind them.
8 Oregon Ducks Shame that Saturday's blowout will be the new normal for the Civil War.
9 Penn State Nittany Lions Perhaps I am being harsh, but they haven't played anybody yet so I can't rank them higher before I find out their deal.
10 Indiana Hoosiers Safe to say they have beaten the one season wonder allegations.
11 Oklahoma Sooners Solid win against Auburn, feels like the Venables era is taking a much needed step this year.
12 Ole Miss Rebels While Tulane isn't the Pratt teams, I think they are one of the top G5s. So impressive of Ole Miss to blow them out.
13 Iowa State Cyclones Week off game before an interesting game against 3-0 Arizona
14 Tennessee Volunteers Most deserved buy game win of all time.
15 Alabama Crimson Tide Week off before we find out more about this year's version of the Tide in Athens.
16 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets RIP their quality win. Still, good opportunity to keep winning against Wake Forest.
17 Vanderbilt Commodores Diego Pavia.
18 Missouri Tigers Good win against a Sellers led South Carolina.
19 USC Trojans So far taking care of business.
20 Michigan Wolverines Solid showing in Lincoln this past weekend.
21 Texas Longhorns Week off before they become the next team to humiliate Florida.
22 Mississippi State Bulldogs Decided to rank them since 4-0 and have a solid win against ASU. Good opportunity this weekend hosting Tennessee too.
23 Auburn Tigers Still kept them top 25 since close loss on the road shouldn't penalize you that much.
24 Illinois Fighting Illini Kept them ranked because Indiana deserves more love and I still think they're a solid team even if they got throttled.
25 Utah Utes Didn't want to outright unrank them since I do have Tech top 10 off of that win. Still, rough showing.
