Ballot Type: Human
Submitted: Sept. 21, 2025, 5:18 a.m.
Overall Rationale: Cleaned up methodology from week one. 1. Teams must have a high-performing record relative to the week. This week that includes 4-0, 3-0, and 3-1 teams. 2. Top ranked teams are those who are undefeated with a “statement win” 3. Next up is teams with a solid win or who are ranked in the top 5 for total ypg, pass ypg, rush ypg, ypg allowed, or ppg allowed. Partially based on statistical performance, partially subjective.

No other team has multiple wins against teams still hanging in my top 25. The Sooners look scary in their sophomore SEC season. |

It’s quantity over quality for Miami right now, they’ve delivered against some good-but-not-great teams and still need a true statement, but it’s still a very complete resume. |

Vibes and that impressive road win at Tennessee keep Georgia in the top 3, but how long can they coast on that? |
4 |

The Hoosiers deliver something they never were quite able to last year: a bonafide ass-beating of a very solid team. The jump is extremely warranted. |

Utah had them bottled up for most of the game but the Red Raiders broke free in the 4th and showed they might have the best offense in the league. |

Vandy’s win over SCAR loses some luster this week, but there’s no doubt in my mind this is the best Commodores team in decades. |

This two-headed monster of a rushing attack looks nigh-impossible to stop. Mizzou finally gets a solid win, are they the real deal? |

The Cougars are untested but their defense is simply phenomenal. Excited to see what they do in Big 12 play. |

Movement in the top 25 actually resulted in Auburn moving up a spot despite the loss. I don’t feel too bad about this especially with how they were able to hang around with a very strong OU. |

Notably Syracuse isn’t here because of the win over Clemson, but rather because of their top-5 passing offense. |

North Texas might be the most slept-on team in the country. Their signature win came with their 49 point margin of victory over Wazzu, and they pulled through another close one against a scrappy Army team this week. Sleeper in the American. |

ASU barely sneaks back in with a solid win over Baylor. Notable omissions to this ranking include Oregon and Texas. Simply put, these teams have not proved anything of substance yet. Due to how volatile these rankings are tho, Oregon could jump all the way into the top 10 with a win over Penn State next week. |
